I went with this one for the faster delivery. For the WD TV it worked fine, does not need the adapter, but does need to swap yellow and white, because its white has the video signal. Signal quality seems fine; can't tell much because composite isn't great to begin with, but there's no noise on either audio or video, so at least we can tell that the shielding is good. I would buy it again.

I just checked the 2nd cable (replacement) cable of this item and it WILL NOT WORK because it is INCORRECTLY WIRED. I have examined both the original and replacement cables from Amazon which you provided and have observed that both cables are defective and in the same manner. I would hazard that this is a production error happening to an entire run of such cables. The error is as follows: V (yellow) is NOT carrying the video siginal. It is, in fact, carrying the left audio signal. L (white) is correct carrying the left audio signal R (red) is NOT carrying the right audio signal. It IS carrying the V (yellow) signal but ONLY if used with the small OMTP=CTIA adapter plug. Without the aforementioned adapter, the mis-manufactured R (red) cable carries a mere whisp of a video signal appearing as dingy red in character. Using the adapter somehow 'fixes' or clears up the video signal.

This cable with video on ring 2 and ground on ring 3 worked fine for my 2021 LG TV. This cablle set came complete with an adapter plug which reversed the ground and video positions on the plug. It was not necessary for my LG TV but doubles the likelihood of the cable working in your device. If it does not work for your product it is not the fault of the cable. Different electronic manufactures for TV"s and other devices require different cable wiring internal to the pin. The cables all look alike from the outside making things a bit confusing. If you can find out what is required for your device before you buy cables it could help. Otherwise this cable would be a good bet as it does offer two configurations with the included adapter plug. For example I believe Sony wants the video on ring 1. You can move the three RCA plugs into different ports for Audio R, Audio L and video by not following the color scheme to move the audio and video onto different positions on the 3.5mm plug but you can't move the ground without an adapter plug. In short though it will work perfectly fine for many devices without difficulty I believe you can make this cable work for many devices as it includes the adapter which moves the ground. Jay

Trying to connect a DVD/Blu-Ray player to an older TV with older-style inputs, etc. it looked like this would work, but when the tech arrived, he said “no.” After additional research, it looks like I will need to get a new TV before I can get a DVD or Blu-Ray player. Sigh. It’s always something in this fast-changing world of technology’

Works well in my case I had to flip the white and yellow to make it work. So yellow to white, white to yellow. Seems like this cable was made with multi use in mind. But instructions for none techy people would help this seller.

I have a very old Sony Hi8 Handycam that I lost the cord for, but wanted to finally digitize all the old tapes before they deteriorated. This cable worked great for the use. Just a note for anyone else who may be looking at this for the same purpose - I had to use this cable for the 3.5mm AV out on the camera, plugged the RCA cables into an AV/HDMI converter. The HDMI converter is USB powered (and also mixed up the red and yellow so I had to reverse those cables), and the HDMI out cable then got plugged into a video converter card. The video converter then was plugged in via USB-C to my laptop, where I used OBS to screen record. Lots of cables, lots of figuring it out, but now I finally have the 21 year old tapes stored as movies on my laptop.

These RCA to 3.5mm work great on my sound system and i realized the 3.5mm to 3.5mm adapter is something i needed but didn't know it; When i was connecting such a regular cable on my iPad, the body design of the iPad kept the connector pin to go all the way in so i always had distorsion or getting just one channel. With the adaptor it clears the pin away from the body allowing it to go all the way through thus allowing the full signal to go through and enjoy normal listening. Good price much cheaper than from Sony, works but for Sony you need to use the adapter that change the pin configuration. No signal if you didn’t use the adapter.

Cables as described were not the ones that came.

I purchased this 3.5 mm to RCA Audio Cable hoping to use it with our Hisense TV and Nintendo Wii, but unfortunately it did not work for that setup. The cable itself seems well made and the connectors fit properly, but despite trying different input settings on the TV and confirming the Wii was working with another cable, I couldn’t get any audio or video signal using this one. It appears that this type of 3.5 mm to RCA cable is not compatible with Hisense TVs (at least in my case), likely due to differences in how the 3.5 mm AV input is wired or supported. This may still work for other devices that specifically support 3.5 mm AV output with the same pin configuration, but if you’re buying it specifically to connect a Nintendo Wii to a Hisense TV, I’d recommend looking for a Wii-specific AV cable or an HDMI converter instead. Disappointing for my use case, but worth noting for others to avoid compatibility issues.
