THE SECRET TO STOP BITING YOUR NAILS
I started biting my nails at 14 - I'm 33. I go through phases when I lean in to biting for anxiety that last about a month or two (not great, but everything in moderation right?!) and the MOMENT I get over it I order a new one of these. It stops my biting IMMEDIATELY. It's an amazing reminder.Be weary though, don't chop veggies or cook with your bare hands after using this as it can affect the taste of food. It's not bad for you if you ingest, but it just tastes like garbage.I'm forever loyal to this brand and highly recommend to my friends for it's convenience, ease of use and the fact that it actually works wonders.

Works for me when nothing else has!
This stuff is disgusting and that's a good thing. I have tried every trick in the book to stop biting my nails. I've been a biter for over 30 years. This stuff tastes nasty, lasts in your mouth for awhile, too, so as negative reinforcement, it's good. There's no gloss or shine, so you forget it's there... till you stick your fingers in your mouth đ After only three days, I have basically stopped biting. I'm still using it to be sure it sticks. Do not get this stuff on your fingerpads (not a word but...) because then it gets on things like your potato chips. What I have found that works in to roll it along the cuticle, then use tissue to smooth it down the nail. This avoids it accidentally getting on the pads of your fingers.

Genuinely awful, but somehow doesn't work?
My son is a thumb sucker at 2 years old, and sucks his thumb so much that he has completely turned his thumb red, and has created a blister where his front teeth sit. I, like all parents, have wanted my son to stop sucking his thumb because of how dirty toddlers can get and because of future complications like messing up his teeth, introducing an infection through this constant blister atop his thumb. I purchased this with the hopes that it would help encourage him to stop. When it came in a day or so later after purchasing, I wanted to personally know what I was going to put him through. So, after washing my hands, I dabbed a bit on the back of my thumbnail, waited a few seconds for it to dry and then licked my thumb. What ensued was the most god awful taste I've ever experienced in my life. It was like drinking an India Pale Ale that someone had brewed with only hops, and then left it to fermented in the hot Texas summer sun and sold it. It was so vile that it nearly made me vomit, and nothing took the god awful taste away. I gargled salt water, drank milk, ate something, brushed my teeth, and then gargled mouthwash. Cleaning my teeth was the only thing that somewhat helped, making that god awful taste bearable. After that experience, I knew that this would HAVE to work and help stop my son from sucking his thumb. Well, it didn't. I first coated only his thumb nail. Little dude didn't give two craps, and kept on sucking his thumb like nothing happened. Then I coated the thumb past the second knuckle. Little guy STILL didn't care. Then, fed up with my failures, I coated his ENTIRE thumb in this stuff and let it dry. Dude stuck his thumb in his mouth, made a face like he didn't like the taste, and STILL KEPT SUCKING HIS THUMB like I'd never applied it.I'm genuinely at a loss for words. I was positive this would help stop his thumbsucking habit, but he just didn't care one bit that this toxic sludge coated his thumb. This would for sure stop a normal human being from chewing on their fingernails, because even when dry, the taste gets everywhere. It sticks to your lips and you'll be reminded you put this stuff on every time your tongue touches your lips. However, for a toddler who I'm not even sure is actually human (how do they survive off snacks alone and refuse every meal you make?), it was not a success.

IT WONT GO AWAY - do not recommend
I purchased this to help my daughter stop chewing on her pencils at school. We put it on her pencils yesterday and thank god I decided to try it myself. It almost made me vomit it was so strong. I tried rinsing my mouth out with water (water made it worse!). Brushing my teeth/tongue. Didn't help. Mouth wash didn't even work! It also doesn't dry and just stay in one place. It spreads. I keep getting it on my fingers somehow all day. I've had a bitter taste in my mouth almost constantly for 24 hours. I washed her pencils with soap and water early this morning because I didn't want her to throw up at school or have to deal with this. But now I'm afraid it didnt get off because the things I tested here and tried washing off are not coming "clean." I do not recommend this stuff at all. If it's something that just tasted bitter in the moment and then went away, fine. That's actually what we wanted! But this stuff just lingers in your mouth all. day. long.
