Such an amazing booknook. I would highly recommend getting this one as the instructions were clear and the quality is fantastic. The only issue is there no glue supplied but apart from that I enjoyed assembling this book nook.

I bought 4x different ones of these for the family for Christmas and all I can say is that they are amazing. Everyone loved making them and the lighting is great and works on movement. Mine makes me smile daily. It takes about 5 hours to make and was the best time I have spent. I will be buying some more.

This was a nice, simple project, great for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The wood color scheme is very ‘Van Gogh’, fun and bright and chaotic. I like the mirror in the back, as it gives some depth to the nook and creates a longer alleyway. Most everything needed to be glued, some of the snap pieces were extremely tight, and I did utilize my own craft file to do some additional sanding to make sure I didn’t break my assembled furniture pieces when putting them in the panel floor/wall. I like ‘snug’ pieces , but I don’t want to break them! My kit came with a very cute glue stick, which was a nice touch, but I didn’t feel confident that it would hold the pieces together, and I have my own glue preferences (I like Aleene’s mixed media adhesive for most everything, it does smell funny, but I suppose you get used to that after a while!) The lighting was simple to install, and I like that this kit came with a tiny screwdriver and a wood ‘wrench’. The sensor light is VERY sensitive, and I think it picks up movement from more than 6 ft away, but turns off after about a minute, and if you don’t want it coming on all the time, just turn the switch to off. This was probably the simplest (and skinniest) nook I’ve done, it’s an open model, which I knew when I bought it (I usually prefer nooks that have dust covers and tops) a little higher price point for the simplicity of this product, but it’s Van Gogh, so it’s the art you are paying for. I think this is an appropriate beginner project, just be careful with the tight fitting pieces and which pieces go in which direction before putting them together and glueing them!

Leuke ontspannende bezigheid zonder al te veel gepruts. Stukjes passen steeds mooi in elkaar, mooie afwerking. Heb dit wel op een kleine 2 uur afgewerkt, mocht langer duren 😉
