The good and the bad.
I ordered this book back in October. It arrived yesterday on February 11th. 4 months I waited. My excitement was gone by that time. The book arrived with blemishes on front and back as well as the pages. Looks like ink by careless people who didn’t let ink dry and touched the book while ink was wet. And left it. Unacceptable. The pages are warped and cover doesn’t shut properly as it is also warped. But who knows how long it sat in a warehouse for moisture to creep in over the past 4 months.Aside from these issues and book looking used and abused, there are positives with it. These issues are clearly not Brooke’s fault. And she probably had no control of the careless handling and smeared ink from other people. The book itself is absolutely gorgeous. I love the embossing on the front. And this book is heavy and BIG. I never expected it to be this think and beautiful. The pages are stunning, beautiful colors and wonderful recipes. Brooke did a great job putting this together. It really is a lovely and a beautiful book she created. It’s very heavy, chock full of amazing pages and recipes. The cover and pages are so soft, the texture is amazing. I really do love this book despite the flaws from careless printer and packaging employees who clearly saw these flaws and sent it out anyway. I recommend people to buy it and you won’t be disappointed. And hopefully you will get a copy that is in better shape than mine. I give this book an A+.

Beautiful, Amazing, Well Written Recipe Book
This book is amazing!! I had to wait several months to receive mine, but it was so worth it. It is beautifully made. It's large and thick and would even make an excellent decor piece. Brooke not only shares the story of how she got started baking but shares tools, methods, tips, etc. It is so well written, and I think it would make an excellent bridal shower, birthday, Christmas gift. So many people that sell baked goods refuse to share their recipes, but Brooke unselfishly shares them all and loves to hear how they turned out for others. I have made several recipes from this book and have not been at all disappointed. It even has a bookmark ribbon to hold your place which I love!

150 g Large Cookie
So far I have only been able to cook the New York cookie, but I am hoping to have more time to try others. My family has enjoyed having the giant cookies.

The kindle version is unusable. Too many challenges. You can't even look at 2 pages at a time.
If you order the digital version be prepared for 325 pages. The flow is hard for me to follow. Kindle for PC has to unpack (unzip) every single time I use it. It is touchy and doesn't show two pages at one time. It doesn't have a dedicated next page to click and It does not have an Option TO PRINT A RECIPE. I really want to return this! It is unusable for me. It is probably a beautiful book with lovely recipes but but the kindle version is not for me. Wish I would have just stuck with the book.

A bit of a letdown; recipes lacking clarity
The book is beautiful and very aesthetic, and in theory the recipes are great. However, I have tried multiple recipes now and can say that something is off with the ratios for the cookies. Most of the cookies use essentially the same ratios of butter, flour, sugar, and eggs, but the dough comes out incredibly dry every time; it just crumbles through my fingers. The first time this happened I was convinced I measured something incorrectly so did it all over again just to have the same result. This is particularly problematic for the cookies you need to mold around a filling, because it is impossible to do so. There are also little things like not indicating how many cookies the recipe should make. For example, one of the recipes calls for 160g of Biscoff spread and gives the instruction to first measure out 20g balls of the spread. Doing that math, I figured I’d end up with 8 cookies. However, the recipe then also called for 10 Biscoff cookies to stick in the top of each cookie after baking. Furthermore, the recipe said to measure out 130g dough balls to mold around the balls of Biscoff spread. I ended up having 10+ balls of 130g dough but had only prepared 8 balls of frozen Biscoff spread to put in the center. It really just feels like the book could have used a lot more editing to make sure the recipes are clear. Since Brooki is obviously known for her cookies, this was a big letdown.I did read another review saying that cookie recipes from Brooki’s masterclass call for two eggs and that this saved the dough, so I will be trying that next time.

Love the book, but poor packaging.
Rating 5 stars because I LOVE the cookbook but wanted to leave a review about my cover being damaged. Something punctured the cover. Book wasn’t in any type of protectant and I’d exchange if I could get a replacement asap, but that’s not an option and I’ve waited until October for this book and I’m not letting it go now. Love Brooke, just don’t love how the publisher is shipping them.
