Following bathroom renovations we are draining more "gray water" into our home septic system. Thanks to the disruption of drain pipes during construction, we noticed pungent gas odors coming from the bathroom roof vent.Roebic K-37-H could not have been easier to apply. It comes in a two-quart (1.89 l) container. It is a "living" solution of bacteria in suspension. The directions: Wait until bedtime. Open the container. Pour into toilet. Flush. Flush again. (You could help your cause a bit by filling the container with cool water and dumping that--with the product residue--into the toilet before the first flush.) Do not flush the toilet overnight.The solution starts beneficial bacteria colonies, starting in the waste pipe and right into your septic tank. Roebic claims that these bacteria are specially cultivated to resist the challenges of living in a system where all waste, including chemical waste, is disposed of.The overnight flush-and-wait allows colonies to grow in the pipe between your bathroom and the septic tank, clearing out the matter that does not make it all the way to the tank. This should result in cleaner pipes that promote an unobstructed flow to the tank.The main colonies grow and find their nourishment in the septic tank itself. Enzymes and bacteria are essential to a healthy system, as a functioning tank is meant to digest solids and break down waste products. Without this process, the tank would soon fill up with solid "sludge" and the septic water would find its way out. This breakdown process includes all that "septic-safe" toilet tissue that necessarily is flushed into the system.As water is eventually expelled from the tank, it carries the digestive bacteria into the leach field, which helps keep the leach field open and draining the water back into the water table.Bottom line: the septic gas odors disappeared within three days, and we are again confident that our system is working properly.Roebic says that K-37-H should be applied every six months, which is less often than some other treatments I have seen. We plan to do that, as it was so easy to apply.

Highly recommend this as a monthly treatment in your robic septic system. It helps keep the good bacteria going and eating you sludge/waste. It will prevent you from getting excessive and expensive pump outs before needed. I've been using this stuff for over 8 years now. I've only had to get my system pumped out once. My neighbor has had his pumped out 4 times in the past eight years says this product it too expensive. $600 to get mine pumped out.

Five stars would never use any other septic equipment. This stuff helps you keep your lines and your septic tank clean fresh no roots can’t say enough good stuff about well worth the money. This is the stuff! Buy this.

Three years ago, septic tank drained and told needed new drain fields. Found video on youtube whereby used three bottles of this product and placed in drain fields via garden hose. Since then I use it every three months as directed and no issues. This saved me 3000. dollars!
