Hit or missđ
This is the second filter I purchased as the first was perfectđ unfortunately the second filter was rattly when I contacted the seller they told me it was not eligible for a replacement and to put something around it to make it quieter đSteer clear or take a 50 -50 chance.

Disappointing
When it came, I took it apart to clean inside and add a better media. Not even Hercules could get the head attachment off this thing! Eventually got it off with pliers, a hammer and sheer tenacity. The flow gauge doesnât work. It appears to be more for decoration. Itâs nowhere near the length shown in the pictures (story of my life) overall, donât buy this as a primary filter. This now has pride of place in the spares drawer. Otherwise known as the âcrap Iâll never use againâ drawer. So, the moral of the storyâŠ..you get what you pay forIt is however very quiet. Possibly because the media is so rubbish it doesnât challenge the debris.

Easy to use
The Pawfly Internal Aquarium Filter arrived boxed, in the box were the filter, cleaning brush, venturi valve and a spray bar, there is a leaflet but no installation instructions. The instructions are on the product page. The filter is straight forward to set up and can be used with the spray bar, this can be turned to the best position for the aquarium and fish, the venturi is easy to set up there is an adaptor included that attaches to the outlet on the filter. The filter is attached to the aquarium by three suction cups, the power lead is a good length so reaches the socket easily. The filter is very easy to take apart for cleaning, the filter sponge is removed by taking off the cover on the bottom of the filter, the sponge filter housing is fastened to the motor with a slide lock, the impeller cover is easy to remove and clicks back into place. The filter is recommended for a tank size of 38 - 76l, the size is good and fits well into my smaller tank, the filter in my opinion feels well made.

Good quality small filter, good for shrimp tanks
I've got a very small < 20L tank with 5 very small fish and around 10 shrimp, and my previous filter was just a bit to strong. This one is ideal - it's quiet, no discernible vibrations, and the strength is just right. It is pretty generic, so if you've worked with one filter, you'll be able to handle this with ease.My shrimp love crawling all over this and I'm not worried that they'll get stuck due to strong suction from the filter impellor.Easy to setup, no issues with this whatsoever.

Nice affordable filter with some issues though
The media could not be loaded. Streamlined aquarium filter with adjustable flow rate using the knob on the output. You can also attach the provided spray bar for more surface agitation and gas exchange if preferred. It's suitable for up to 120L with a 6.7Lmin flow rate. It comes with 6 suction cups, so it is attached firmly to the tank which is great. It is extremely quiet.CONS:The head attachments are extremely hard to swap over, especially the duck nozzle. I had to use a screwdriver to prise it off, plus it's also hard to move it side to side which isn't great.Their Title states... "Multifunctional Filter with Bio Sponge Filter Balls Stones Ceramic Rings and Activated Carbon... etc."Their description states..."Triple Filtration: Contain a bio sponge, filter materials (filter balls, stones & ceramic rings) and activated carbon inside the filter box."Although Product Description images at the bottom of the page don't show these extras, the most common selling points are the top 2 statements above. So more than a typo mistake and definitely missold IMO.CONCLUSION:Affordable missold filter and very quiet unit. And please don't clean your sponge every 2 weeks as stated. Leave them until you notice a considerable slowing of flow in months or year in some cases. You want to build up a nice colony of beneficial bacteria, not wash them away.
