Esschert DesignCast Iron Sundial on Stand (TH37)

Just realized I hadn't reviewed this item which I purchased last summer. It looks great in my flower border where it shows nicely against my white fence. It had to be assembled, but that was pretty easy. I like that it is an unusual design. Haven't seen anything like it in any of the garden centers or even online. Plus the price was good. I find it to be a nice sturdy piece and an attractive addition to my yard.

Although the piece is relatively attractive, the numerals and gauges are too hard to read to allow one to use this even as a simple sun dial. Unfortunatley, they do not add much to the visual aspect either. It seems as though it was manufactured just for looks at a distance. Fairly sturdy but it hasn't gone through any high winds yet.

Terrible!!!! Came in a crushed taped up box and missing half the pieces! I’m thoroughly disappointed. I’m returning this immediately. I wanted to give it Zero stars but I was required to give at least one

It's a nice yard ornament, but not really a sundial, that I can figure out! More like a weather vane. Is there a way to actually make it act like a sundial??

a little light weight

This sun dial is very nice. It was a surprise for my husband and he was pleased. It was of great value.

Not exactly what I thought it was. Perhaps it is me, but I thought it would be sturdier.

Because of the description listed, I knew pretty much what I was purchasing. Too bad all items do not give good descriptions.

I needed something small but eye catching to spruce up the garden, and this sundial checks all the boxes. It isn't outrageously priced, it's small but mighty, and it looks stunning. It comes with a rustic patina, which I love! Hubby put a coat of clear lacquer on it to keep that antique look. He wanted to take it back to the original black, but I was having none of it! The company is great to deal with as well. The first sundial was faulty, but returning and replacing it was a breeze.

There weren’t any instructions but it was so easy and quick to put together none were needed. Perfect memorial, my little dog would sit and sun herself just in that spot, looks lovely and heavy enough a gust of wind wouldn’t knock it over.
