Good product
Worked as described. I would say good amount for the money as it doesn’t take much of the product to repair the edges! Nice!

Easy to use, slightly plasticky finish
This product is easy to use and does not have a very strong odor. It smells much less strongly than gum tragacanth, which is typically used to burnish edges. As compared to the gum tragacanth, this applies similarly - paint onto an edge or surface, let dry, and then burnish. for me, the burnished finish with this product was a lot glossier than the more matte finish that gum tragacanth gives. It is almost a patent leather gloss, which may or may not be what you are interested in for your project. It also leaves a slightly tacky/vinyl feel to the surface, likely from the urethane in the formulation. It wasn't what I was expecting but still works really well. Just be aware that it will behave differently from other burnishing agents that you may have used.

Restores the margins on old leather belts and straps
I had a few belts long forgotten, removed from use after showing too much wear especially on the margins. Seeing this burnishing gum made me curious if these oldies can actually get a new lease on life. I can tell this sealer works very well in restoring the leather margins to a glossy, professional look. But applying only to patches results in a non-uniform look on close inspection, if that is of any concern – to me, that’s one more badge of honor for these well-worn things. I also tried this on a handbag straps and two layers is what it took for the strap to look one notch above decent. The resulting margins remain flexible and so far there is no cracking or separation of layers, hope this is a durable repair for the investment of time in reconditioning such leather items.

Easy to use and works well
I am a hobbyist and this is the first product of this type that I have used. I got one of those leather burnishing attachments for a rotary tool a while back, but never bothered to get the necessary burnishing gum in order to use it until now I used this on a scrap of leather, and it was easy enough to use. It did polish off the edges and make it look much nicer than the fuzzy edge of the raw cut leather that you get no matter how carefully you cut. It will definitely make my leather projects (that I usually cut with a die cutter) look a lot more professional, as opposed to looking like a craft project. I will need to experiment further so that I can get more of a feel for the exact amount product, pressure and time that will give the best results, but even on the first try, I was able to get results. If you're go to the time, effort, and expense of crafting something out of leather, you might as well take this one final step to get that professional finish that will make your product stand out.

Works well!
I’ve been doing leather work for quite a few years now. I’m not a recognized professional by any stretch of the imagination… but I’ve sold my share of handbags, belts and other leather items. Burnishing edges, in leather work, is tantamount to sanding in wood working. It’s one of those jobs that isn’t much fun to do… but it’s a step you just CAN’T avoid and the results are quite satisfying once the job is completed! This burnishing gum, by VICBTZT, seems to work nicely. In my video, you can see that I go from a cut edge to a burnished edge in under two minutes. The burnishing gum allowed me to achieve a nice, almost glass-like edge in very little time. I have no doubt with a little more work, I could have achieved a high quality beveled and burnished edge!

It takes some patience and elbow grease, but this provides a polished, professional-looking finish. It is suitable for restoring worn straps.
