The Warm Company - Warm & Natural Cotton Quilt Batting – 90" x 40 Yard Roll – Premium Quilt & Craft Batting for Sewing & Quilting Projects

This is my go-to batting for all things quilting related. It is lightweight but also warm. The quilts that I have used it in wash and wear well. I love the fact that I can buy it by the roll. Definitely value for money.

First thing, all batting and fabric is expensive, so any project you *think* is going to be cheaper than buying it made these days, it’s just no longer true. However!! The satisfaction of creating something different that no one has, is unmatched. This batting does just that. I made 6 double sided placemats with it, and this batting is just the right thickness. (Sorry no photo of finished project-work in progress, I’ll add later). I had never used it before but I’m very pleased with it: it cuts through easy, either with scissors or rotary cutter. Sews through just as easy, though you need to pin it to both sides of fabric. I chose not to use a free motion foot, so some of my straight lines aren’t as straight and it puckered a little, and slipped in some parts so I had to re-trim, which was totally fine. But I’m very satisfied with it, I decided to use the leftover to make different placemats, so I’ll have to buy some more. Wish I had gotten the larger piece, but that’s okay. I do recommend it. Perfect thickness for lightweight projects. If you’re making a large summer blanket/quilt that may also work well.

Just the right thickness

I am a quilter, and I always buy the big roll of warm and natural, it's soft and easy to use, the size is great!

The batting felt good, but was thinner than I expected it to be.

This batting is the same as the batting I used to buy at JoAnn's. Works well for my quilts.

In my opinion the Warm Company make the best batting I don't use anything else excellent quality sews well on the machine and washes well too

I have tried Warm & Natural and also Heirloom batting, but W&N is by far my favourite. And you can' beat the price from this seller (BIC Warehouse). I don't know how they do it but I didn't have to pay taxes even though it came from the United States.
