Tends to student textbook rather than cookbook of algorithms
Comprehensive and large selection of algorithms with emphasis on analysis of the runtime of the algorithms. Written as student textbook so some of elaboration and analysis is presented as exercises to be completed. The algorithms themselves are clearly described and given in pseudo-code, but there is no difficulty transcribing them into an actual language. On balance given 5* for comprehensive coverage of algorithms and clear descriptions - but don't expect a pure cookbook of algorithms that can be typed in or downloaded.

The Bible of Algorithms
This book is brilliant. I bought this to read from cover to cover, so that I could get a 'head-start' before going to university on a Computer Science course. This is perfect as it contains everything you need and more! In addition the book is great as a reference book - if you forgot about Van Emde Boas Trees then you can remind yourself by reading the appropriate chapter. A Must Have For Every Computer Scientist.

Good Quality
This is a must have for anyone serious about data structures and algorithms

Well structured
Good book if you are interested in algorithms.

A must if you are serious about understanding DSA!
Whatever I have learned on DSA using this textbook has proven very useful to me in my understanding of how algorithms work. The topics are diverse, covering classic data structures implemented in every programming language out there, together with graph search algorithms and other selected topics. This book goes into the deep details of things, using discrete maths, which means you have to be on top of your maths game to derive maximum value from your learning.

Maybe a bit formal technically but the best book around as far as I have seen
Maybe a bit formal technically but the best book around as far as I have seen. The only place I could really find for Van Embde trees which apparently are the latest thing.Very (very) comprehensive and worth persevering with - given its formality.Really a must for reference.

The go-to book for algorithms
Rightly regarded as the go-to book for algorithms. Do not be tempted to get the cheaper far-east edition which is printed in tissue paper, go for the higher quality softback or the hard back if you can afford it, you'll be using it a lot and you'll want it to last!

Excellent.
Got my Algorithms Bible. We all know it's the best Algorithm book out there so I'd prefer rating Amazon for the great price of this book, an impeccable and fast delivery. Now I can use my holidays and work through the book.
