Picture Perfect Paint.
This was the first time I used Gouache paint and love it so much. The colors are beautiful and so easy to work with, from goingto Acrylic to water paint this paint it the best of both worlds. Would definitely recommend, you will fall in love with this paint too.

Great value set of paints
Very fun set of paints for the artists in your life - including tons of color variety and gouache is really fun to use! Vivid colors like acrylic but blends like water color. Many hours of painting for my teenagers and my husband.

Yes!
I'm so happy I was able to pick up this set while it was on a sale. I've used this brand of gouache before when they only offered a smaller size. Happy to see the quality and vibrancy of the colors do not disappoint. With all the colors previously mixed there is no need to stress out about running out of the color and needing to mix more. Close to a year I've been struggling with an art block and these guys kicked down the door with ease! They keep well in a mixed sketchbook and they dry quickly so no worries about flipping pages while you're in the zone. 👀 I've found that colored pencils and markers layer well on top of dried painted areas. Gives an awesome texture. Another great texter you can get with this set is just how thick you can make the paint strokes with great details by managing how much water you add to what's on the brush, a pallet, or even the paint cup it's self. 10/10 Highly recommend it and I do believe you won't regret it. A Few words to consider about this product though. One you are going to have a time getting all the protective films on each cup of paint. They have a good bit of paint on there to so I would suggest swiping them as swatches or even on a canvas if you are trying to get every cent out of the set like I do. Two I've found you seriously have to keep this paint set brand wet. Not like sopping wet or anything like that, but a little mist of water every now and again so they don't dry into bricks that take forever to rehydrated and mix up. I use a small hand spray bottle with mostly water and just a splash of 90% rubbing alcohol to prevent mold and other goo that happened to show up on wet surfaces with shade and seal. I hope this helps! Happy painting! :)

Highly recommend for people who use this medium alot
Great product for someone who uses this medium frequently but if not I don't recommend because every few days you have to open it, spray it and mix each color so it doesn't dry out wether your using them often or not its alot of upkeep for a just once in a while medium and if you don't close the lid correctly the paint molds. Now if you use this paint quite often then YES ITS VERY WORTH it because the colors are so beautiful and vibrant and make the most beautiful art

The learning curve of Himi Gouache
My art and life has changed because of himi gouache. With a big learning curve comes beautiful rewards. So! This is my second himi pallette. The first one was smaller. I had a tough time at first learning the textures. Some colors have amazing pay off, others you need to layer. For example, the pink/magenta type colors you're going to need to lay on bare paper first. If you use them over another color you are not going to get the pay off you're looking for. Each color has its own quirks so it's good to test on a separate piece of paper how the colors interact. I also had the INFAMOUS molding problem on my first pallette. For around 3 months it did great ! I even took it on a plane from Florida heat to mountain cold. No problems. Until .... I moved to a town with very mineraly water. This totally destroyed my pallettes " ecosystem" and the mold caught fast. There was no saving it. I saw the himi spray but I wanted an alternative. After some digging I found DISTILLED WATER, alcohol, and an antifungal powder was working for everyone else. I've been going just distilled water and alcohol so far ( not much alcohol ) and it's working great. This pallette also like a sourdough. It needs weekly maintance. So Everytime you use your paints ( depending on the texture you want ) you need to remoisten. I like my paints kind of creamy cause I use a lot of water on my brush. So open it, no spray. After use spray the whole thing down very well!!! If you take a break from it, give a good spray about once a week. Two weeks is okay too(: Overall this is SUCH a BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. This is great for any level of experience. Yes there are a lot of premixed colors but once you really start using it and getting comfortable you see a need to mix your own which has been so fun for my color theory journey. Some people do complain about streakiness.... I noticed you really should be using their brushes/synthetic watercolor brushes/acrylic brushes. Layering really helps with that too. It's just like any other paint, has it's quirks. I highly recommend it though! Especially if you do watercolors. This has added a lot of diversity and problem solving for my mistakes :p also Daniel smith has a small gouache series as well and works well with these/high pay off. Good luck!

Versatile, colorful, and fun
I have been taking this kit with me all over the place! The lid snaps on securely and the handle can be popped flat or be used to carry the kit. The colors can be watered down significantly to function more like watercolors if you prefer a thinner consistency. This was my first time using gouache and I'm enjoying it so far. This kit in particular comes with a ton of shades that are neatly organized and safely packaged. My only "complaint" is that taking the foil lids off of each dual cup of paint took a long time and made my fingers sore simply because there are so many cups to open. Overall, the kit looks beautiful and is fun to use. I imagine this would be great for beginners and people who consider themselves more advanced. I really find the paints blend beautifully and pop on 100% cotton textured paper. My preference is cold pressed paper.

Llegaron en tiempo, la calidad es buena pero la descripcion dice 112 colores y en realidad solo son 56 capsulas de color.

As a beginner artist, I find these paints incredibly easy to work with. They’re so creamy and I love how I can play around with the transparency with water. And if i mess up, I just paint over it, which is something I can’t just do with watercolour and is frustrating. I don’t really like mixing colours and don’t care to learn yet, so a big set like this is good for a beginner like me lol. Overall, great product if you’re just learning how to use gouache!

This definitely isn’t a premium gouache, but it’s excellent for a hobbyist. Range of colours is really nice. Be prepared for your fingers to be sore if you open all the pods at once. I love this set and will definitely be buying refills when I need them. Great value for what you get.
