Works best!!!
I bought one of those about a year ago but the temperature display didn't work correctly, but that was my only problem with the device. I returned it. After much research, as well as trial and error, I gave this brand another chance, and I'm glad I did. The new device has a properly working temp display. Solid construction. Hold temperature REALLY well. I tried soft sided cases, many leaked as the gel pack melted!! This thing works best! Well ... except my newest injectable pen is unnecessarily freaking HUGE and I'm not sure it will fit in this container with the frozen gel pack. So, I'm not yet sure what I'm going to do about that. Note to manufacturer: Please, make this in a larger size? For the stupid FAT injectable pens?? (I mean... The medication is for psoriatic arthritis which damages fingers joints. Fat utensils and such are easier to use so ... I guess I can see how they justify the size but it's super inconvenient for storage and travel.)

Best Insulin travel idea!
This works great. My 79 year old mom had been struggling with traveling with her insulin to Mexico and this was a great portable investment. Its weight, durability, and size was manageable for her to carry in her purse. Love the easy digital touch to monitor the temperature is the best feature to help to easily monitor the safe temperature inside. The plus about the product that in a matter of a few minutes it can go from room temp to 2 Celsius. I truly recommend this product for every day and traveling use.

Solid Insulin Cooler - Long-Lasting, But Check Your Pen Size!
I've been looking for a reliable insulin cooler for travel, and this is definitely a contender. I give it 4 stars because it largely delivers on its promise of keeping insulin cool for extended periods, but it's not without a couple of minor drawbacks. What I Liked: Long Cooling Time: This is the big one. I tested it with the included ice packs (following the instructions carefully), and it truly did hold the temperature within the specified range for a significant amount of time. This is a huge relief for longer trips and peace of mind knowing my insulin is protected. I'd say it lasted very nearly the advertised 60 hours, which is fantastic. Well-Built & Durable: The case feels sturdy and well-made. The materials seem high quality, and I feel confident it can withstand being tossed in a bag without damaging my pens. The zipper is smooth and the overall construction inspires confidence. Temperature Monitoring: The built-in thermometer is a great feature. It allows me to easily check the temperature inside the case and ensure my insulin is staying within the safe range. It's much better than guessing! Compact Design: While it holds 3 pens, the case isn't overly bulky. It fits reasonably well in my travel bag without taking up too much space. Included Ice Packs: The ice packs are designed specifically for the case, which is helpful. They freeze quickly and seem to hold their temperature well. What Could Be Improved: Pen Size/Compatibility: This is my biggest concern. While it says it holds 3 pens, I found it a bit of a squeeze with my [mention your specific insulin pens if you use a common type, e.g., NovoLog pens]. I had to be careful not to force them in, and I worry about potential damage to the pens or cartridges over time. Measure your pens carefully before purchasing to ensure they will fit comfortably. Instructions Could Be Clearer: The instructions for preparing the ice packs and using the case could be a bit more detailed and user-friendly. It took me a couple of tries to get everything set up correctly. A simple video tutorial would be a great addition. Price: While the performance is good, the price is a bit on the higher side compared to other insulin coolers on the market. However, the long cooling time may justify the cost for some. Overall: This is a solid insulin cooler that delivers on its promise of long-lasting cooling. The build quality is excellent, and the temperature monitoring is a valuable feature. However, potential buyers should carefully measure their insulin pens to ensure they fit comfortably within the case. If you need extended cooling and your pens fit, this is a worthwhile investment. Just double-check the dimensions before you buy!

Travel Buddy!
This is the best thing I have ever bought for my diabetes care! The cold lasts forever! I have not had a single issue with this. Only drawback would be there is no idea when to tell how much time is left on the battery and its not rechargeable.

Effectively Maintains Refrigeration Temperature Cooling of Eyedrops!
The DisonCare Holiday Cooler is the smallest Insulin cooler they offer. It is very effective for maintaining cool temperatures for other 'small diameter packaged' medications, for up to 16 hrs. It worked perfect for my needs. They offer larger size options, if they are more suited for your needs. It is very easy to use, light weight, and easy to clean. I highly recommend. Note: If possible, I wish that Disoncare could possibly offer the small size Holiday Cooler with a 'digital temperature cap'.

Works for eye drops too!
I bought this to put my glaucoma eye drops in while I travel. The drops need to stay room temp (not refrigerator temp) and traveling by car on 90 degrees days in the summer, I was struggling to find something to keep them at a constant temp. I found that if I put the insulation packet in the fridge for 5-10 min instead of freezing it, I can get the temp between 65-70 and it keeps for hours. So surprised how well it works!

Product quality changed 2025 to lower grade steel - cannot meet origonal temp claims
I bought this product a few years ago and then again this year. The original product was made with a higher grade 316 Stainless Steel. At some point this company switched to a 304 Stainless Steel which is cheaper but 316 stainless steel has a higher resistance to high temperatures compared to 304 stainless steel. This is due to the addition of molybdenum in the composition of 316 stainless steel. Molybdenum enhances the heat resistance of stainless steel by improving its ability to withstand oxidation at elevated temperatures. This 304 product is not able to last the claimed 74h - in fact the best it can to is less than half under most circumstances... take great care using this product with your expensive medicine... In the photos - unit 1 was my original purchase and unit 2 and 3 were more recent - you can see the different steel stamps on the produce as well as the temperature profile performance.

I purchased this cooler for emergency power outage situations more than travel. The quality of this cooler flask is obvious as soon as you open the package. All components are well made, sturdy and look good as well.. It's definitely not a cheap option but certainly is a great low-tech answer to insulin pen temporary storage. Decided to test the cooler before i completed the review. I managed to fit the BioGel, five Ryzodeg pens in comfortably as well as the thermometer. No way it would fit seven but that was not a criteria for me. I'm quite happy to keep five disposable pens cooled for emergency periods or travel. That is more than enough for my needs. Temperature in flask was approx 4-6 degrees Celsius initially and remained unchanged when checked after 12 hrs. It's now 18 hrs and is the same temperature. Have no reason to expect the flask will not achieve its stated cooling period of up to 60 hrs. If it remains temperature consistent for another day or so it will be more than sufficient to satisfy my needs and justify the purchase cost. I'm already considering buying another BioGel bottle for a spare. Overall i'm extremely happy with this item.
