RYOBI OBL18JB 18V ONE+ Cordless Jet Blower (Body Only), Hyper Green

Very comfortable to hold and easy to operate. Very powerful for a hand held battery operated blower. Variable power is controlled simply by pressure on the trigger - simple and straightforward - there are no other controls other than the trigger on this tool. The blower appears sturdy and well made. Running time on a (rechargeable) 18v lithium battery is around 15/20 minutes depending on amount of power employed during use.I bought this as a ‘bare’ tool as I already had a couple of 18v Ryobi batteries for a power drill, so it made it a cheaper purchase for me.I live within the ‘fallout zone’ of a 200+ year old oak tree (plus other assorted species) so every autumn my garden and drive get a regular covering of leaves, seeds, etc. The Ryobi leaf blower made quick work of blowing the leaves, etc, from the lawn, drive and borders and I was very pleased with the performance it gave me.I would recommend the Ryobi OBL 18JB for general domestic use in small to medium gardens, however for larger areas the18v lithium battery might prove a bit short on run time - obviously more powerful batteries are available from the same manufacturer.(Purchased in autumn 2020)

I was not exactly sure what to expect when I ordered this leaf blower, but given the low price I felt it would at least get the job done. I have been very pleasantly surprised by what I have received. It has more than enough power to clear leaves and other dirt, in fact it can really blast stuff when I need it to. The variable power is really helpful as well, especially when it comes to clearing leaves around cars and low windows where I don't have to worry about it blowing stones too hard.It does fly though the batteries fairly quickly, so I am grateful that I have a couple of 5amp batteries to keep it going.To summarize, like most Ryobi tools its a perfectly workable, no frills solution to getting the job done. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

I was very surprised how efficient this blower is as I used it on a friends garden with my 5ah batter which had only 2 power bars remaining. After I finished the battery still showed 2 bars so first impressions is that it's not power hungry. It's lightweight and easy to operate.My only niggle is with the black attachment which initially kept falling off as it refused to clip onto the main body but after a bit of force it remained on but the clips that hold it are still not engaging! If this continues to be a problem I will reluctantly return it as it could be just a one off with that blower.

I have quite a few Ryobi tools but was hesitant to buy a leaf blower as strangely I enjoy raking the leaves. Due to a busy period I thought I would buy one and give it a go, afterall it can always be returned. It arrived shortly before I was about to get ready for work but I thought I would try it out.I was really surprised how strong the blowing was (I'm sure there's a better way of explaining that). After a few minutes the leaves were all blown to the hedge ready for picking up. The leaves were very wet but the blower had no problem with them. Had I had more time, I'm sure it would have cleared every last leaf although they're still coming down. It was also useful for blowing the leaves of the top of the hedge back on to the County Councils land. The photos show a before and after (5 minutes). If like me your in two minds, give it a go

I honestly can't fault this. I don't understand the negative reviews. For a battery powered blower it's great. I use it after I've been gardening to blow leaves, soil, gravel and any debris when tidying up. No problem. I can't comment on car drying as that's what a chamois is for. No pop up headlights here.

The ability to vary the blowing force makes this an excellent blower for controlling the leaves as they are being brought together for bagging. Its lightness and balance makes it very convenient to use. It seems to cope well with damp leaves on the lawn. A good buy! I use it with a 5AH battery for the extra use time before having to recharge.

Very powerful. I would recommend using it with a big battery at least 4ah

got a good blow, easy to use. seems sturdy enough. very heavy on batteries 10mins running and it get slower and slower 4.0ah battery used
