Great build quality, no rust!
Bought this specifically to attach to the Chinook life vest from NRS. Its expensive, but is worth the quality. Value for money:You get what you pay for, very good quality knife. Dull tip for inflatables. Why did you pick this product vs others?:NRS is known for their quality, expensive, but worth the cost in what you get. I got this one cause i knew rust wouldnt be an issue.Build quality:Have had it for over a year now and no rust in sight as compared to other cheaper knives.

Small and easy to handle.
My previous knife was bigger and didn't fit the holder on my PFD just right and my arm would hit the knife handle as I paddled. This knife is exactly what I needed and fits my PFD perfectly. I read a comment that said it was a little difficult to release the knife from the sheath, but once you do it's pretty simple and easy. If you're looking for a smaller safety knife, I highly recommend it.

Good but I like the old one better
I love my old NRS co-pilot knife and sheath. The new knife is ok, but the new sheath is terrible and, unfortunately, the new knife will no fit in the old sheath.

Great buy
Piece of mind to have this atta he'd to my life vest. Take it from me someone who flipped his kayak and got stuck under, if I had this knife I would've been able to free myself alot easier. Sharp but with a blunt tip so you don't stab yourself accidently. Highly recommend

Perfect
Perfect size for attaching to my NRS vest. The sheath feels a little on the cheap side but im sure it will do just fine.

Poor Functionality
I recently purchased a new NRS life vest for my fishing kayak and love it. I also purchased my second NRS knife, and am not in love with it. I wore out my last life vest but still keep it around for guests. The previous NRS knife which I still have on my first life vest is no longer available and this new NRS knife was recommended. The instructions on this new one reads to get it out of the sheave, you simply use your thumb. Well no matter if you have it on your vest at chest height or on your hip, a thumb on any hand doesn't articulate in a manner to get it free of the sheave. And it also doesn't matter if you turn it right side up or down. NRS needs to bring back the old version with the two squeeze clips. Attached are two pictures, the new knife and the old knife. Typically love NRS stuff, but not this one.
