Super sturdy, great size, easy to assemble, and super gorgeous

I picked this desk hoping it would match my gray accent wall in my apartment. You know the one. The gray wall that all the apartments seem to be doing lately. But it's an unusual gray that has a blue tint to it, so I thought this desk might be a good match. The color is PERFECT for my space. I love the mid-century style which also matches the rest of my space. The unexpected thing about this desk was how sturdy it is. For this price I expected it to be a flimsy, replace in a couple years desk. But it is heavy and incredibly sturdy. Even the legs are much heavier and denser than I expected at this price point. It was also very easy to put together for one person. I am absolutely obsessed with this desk and the way it fits flawlessly into my space. Highly recommend!!!

this is a pretty solid piece. The top is some kind of composite I believe (so time will tell how this holds up...for $120 I'm not expecting miracles), but the rest is wood. And nice wood as well: the legs have a unique shape and the undercarriage that holds the frame to the top is solid and nicely designed. Getting back to the color, I don't think there's anyway around the fact that this thing (at least mine) is black. I thought maybe it was me and asked some other family members their opinion with another saying black but another looking really hard and then decided on 'dark grey'. Frankly, the more I look at it the less black and more grey is becomes, but calling it blue/grey is definitely a bit disingenuous. Set-up is easy and I noticed a few holes drilled in the wrong places. They were invisible after putting it together; not sure what to make of this, it's almost like there is an element of manual labor with this piece which is admirable; or perhaps it's just bad QC. You be the judge, it's not important to me but could mean that a few of these are marked up in worse ways than mine. The piece also doesn't come with (unless I lost them) covers for the screw-like things that hold the top of the desk on, so if you peek into the cubbies you see the bare screws. Tragic, I know, but it would have counted for something if they included these. Overall, it's an easy four star affair and would have been a pretty easy five if they hadn't blundered the color. For $110, which is what it was last time I checked it's a no-brainer. Actually it looks sold out. If it comes back for under $150 it's a buy, for under $125 it's a conviction buy.

This is a good sized desk. Not overly huge, but just perfect. I found it pretty simple to put together with the assistance of my sister, and father a couple times during the process. The directions were easy to understand. This desk seems to be good quality. Do beware of chipping. I ordered a mat for under my computer, and keyboard to avoid scratches. Overall it’s sturdy, good sized, and very attractive. Love the shelves in the back and have since decorated it. Very pleased and would recommend this desk to anyone.

Desk was pretty easy to assemble, you don't need 2 people, I'm a 30 year old woman who isn't even that strong and it was no issue. Love the look. Top does seem to be made of a painted particle board but the finish is sturdy - actual paint not plastic board topping, no gross scratches like ikea furniture. Legs are real wood. You could beat a zombie with one. And 3 more legs for the rest of your zombie fighting crew!

This desk is incredibly sturdy!!! Assembly was a little labor-intensive for 1 person. I used multiple screwdrivers, including an electric screwdriver for the final screws, which requires you to screw them in from beneath the desk, working against gravity. I love the little cubbies with their have a study carrel vibe. The shelf is perfect for my monitor. I am nearly 6’ tall, and this desk’s proportions work well for me. The tabletop and shelf/cubbie is a slate color with blue undertones (as opposed to grays with brown undertones), but definitely not blue. Excellent value for the price. The quality of the wood feels more like a $200+ desk.

I really like the look and the feel of this desk. It’s heavy and sturdy and it looks really good. Unfortunately mine did come with a scratch on the top, but it’s not very noticeable and the shelf somewhat covers it up. For the price it’s worth dealing with it. It was easy to assemble, but no matter what I do, the shelf will not tighten flush with the desktop which is super annoying, but again, not very noticeable so I can live with it. My only serious complaint it that it has a HORRIBLY STRONG CHEMICAL SMELL that is just nauseating… as soon as we opened the box it stunk up the entire house and before I was done putting it together I felt sick with a headache.. very disconcerting! It has been 2 days and the smell has not subsided or even lessened. I’m tempted to put it outside or at least in the garage for a few days, but it’s very heavy to move around.. I can’t believe no one else has mentioned this in the other reviews… I like it enough to keep it in hopes that the smell will go away, but I wouldn’t buy it again….

I was worried about getting this because it sounded like it might be easyily damaged but I was wrong. It came in perfect condition and is very sturdy. The desktop material is also much more durable than I expected given some of the reviews here. A guest visited recently and thought it was from a much more expensive store. We're using it as a desk in our bedroom since I tend to wake up in the middle of the night and wanted a space to write without waking anyone else up, works like a charm for that. The Walnut color matches other pieces of walnut furniture in our bedroom, like our bed frame and some shelves we have above the desk. Would not hesitate to recommend this to others.
