Great for keeping butter covered
Picture is a little misleading. That is a large block of butter. Will hold 2 regular sticks or 3 or 4 half sticks. I like how the top fits snuggly into the base. I tried to take a picture of locking tabs. I also like how the lid opens and closes easily and will stay anywhere you open it to. Good for keeping flies off.

Stylish color. Perfect size.
I ordered this Signoraware Butter Dish with Lid because I wanted a simple, inexpensive, easy-to-clean butter dish that would allow me to leave a stick of butter outside the refrigerator (to get soft) while keeping the butter covered. This butter dish accomplished all of that. I like the color (black) as it matches with my kitchen dishes and plates. The cover functions well - it opens smoothly & closes tightly. I think this butter dish is a great value. Two thumbs up.

Heavy duty plastic
I am so excited to use this! Seems like great quality and there is no cracks in it so the bugs will stay out.

So far it works well for my needs
I ordered this butter dish to replace a round ceramic one that I've had for years. The other one works, but the butter drops down into the well, especially during the warmer summer months and makes a sloppy mess in the water at the bottom. This one keeps the butter pretty solid and the cover easily slides up and down to keep the butter handy, but covered, on the counter. I also like that it holds more butter. The description says it holds 2 sticks, but I have 3 sticks in it and it still opens and closes well. I do believe there may be enough height to this keeper that you could also use a full pound block of butter. I like keeping my butter out on the counter so it is soft and spreadable when I want it. For less than $5, it is a bargain. Time will tell how sturdy it is. Recommended.Side note: I have been a Vine member for almost a year and I give totally honest reviews. To earn 5 stars, the products I review have to be really well made, perform extremely well, and have a decent price point. I have no qualms coming back to revise my reviews if products fail to perform or turn out to be junk.
