Loving it so far
I'm slowly working through remodeling my bathroom myself. I am on a budget and don't have much help. I came across this paint and decided to go with it based on it's many good reviews and photos that people were posting. The paint is very thin and watery which was a surprise to me. I taped off everything I didn't want to paint, put down a drop cloth, and followed the instructions STEP BY STEP. I used the nap non-shedding roller, WAY easier than a brush. The toxic fumes are HORRENDOUS. I wore a face mask and still felt like my nose was going to start bleeding, and I was basically getting a free high. Honestly though, the end result was worth the trouble.I ended up having to do three coats because some of my tile was a brownish and others were dark blue. I did the third coat immediately after my second coat, which the instructions advise against but, I did not want to wait another three hours.I am very happy with the results. My bathroom looks a million times better. I am just curious how long it is going to last, if it will stain easily, and will it start chipping at some point. Only time will tell!

Recommended by our hardware store - and they were spot-on!
We have a rental property from the 1940's that has the original tub, bathroom sink, and porcelain kitchen sink with a drain board. The tub was stained from decades of use, the bathroom sink dingy, and the kitchen sink dull with a few chips. The epoxy, like other epoxy materials, requires some prep - a light sand or abrasive, thorough cleaning, etc. Also it has to set for a period of time in a room with high heat. But it was well worth the cost and time.It went on very thickly, almost as a paste - thicker than Kilz or even LBC. It was easy to apply, went on smoothly, and didn't drip even when applied to the outer sides of the pedestal sink. The results? I wish I had a picture to post, because it turned out fantastic, beyond our expectations and hopes! The resulting finish is glossy, doesn't look like it was applied, and makes the fixtures look like brand-new reproductions. My only regret is that we didn't find this earlier!I highly recommend this refinishing kit for tubs and sinks. We didn't try it on tile.
