What a wonderful book! I need to concentrate very hard as there is a great deal of tutorial information but I want to improve my playing, so will try to persevere! A very good selection of piano pieces too.

Continuing on from where Book 1 left off, this is another excellent offering from Melanie Spanswick. An excellent study guide offering a varied and beautiful array of music. Each piece is accompanied by two pages of practice notes, examining how to break the piece down to get the most out of your practice. In my experience these notes have accurately predicted those elements of a piece I find the most difficult, and offer a wide range of practice ideas to tackle and overcome those difficulties. Most importantly, the practice guide can be applied to any piece, teaching the pianist how to break a piece down into manageable sections, and improving a learner's understanding of how to get the most from their piano practise. Fun pieces to play and a great study and technique guide.
