Great for safety on pedestrian and bike trails
perfect ! Very loud fits easily in your pocket and blows away those bicyclist going 30 miles an hour who run you off the road on pedestrian trailsThey can't tell where the sound is coming from, but they certainly slow down after hearing it. Good for pedestrian and bike safety both

Perfect size
Purchased for hiking in the north woods. Very loud. Fits in my backpack and takes up little space. Functions as it should. Good quality.

Safe & Easy to Use
We keep these bear horns at the cottage and take them along when working in the yard, taking a walk or hiking. Bear mace is not allowed across the Canadian border but these horns are. They are very loud but not quite as loud as "bear bangers". We purchased multiple horns and keep them at the cottage for guests to use. Thankfully we have not had to try them out on the real thing!

Good product
Small, very loud, so loud that it should have a carrying case so it doesn’t accidentally get bumped in a backpack. Otherwise, good for traveling but we couldn’t bring it home in the suitcase for fear the trigger would be bumped in transit.

Bear Horn is a great deterrent.
This Bear Horn is VERY LOUD. I used it on a recent walk in bear country and had no unpleasant surprises from the bears. Be sure to hold it directly out in front of you, pointing away from your body and at arms length. Just press the top trigger down quickly with your thumb. The canister is small, fits easily in your hand. It would also fit easily in a fanny pack, in a sweatshirt pouch or pocket, or a jacket pocket. The only negative is that the company doesn't give an estimate as to how many times the horn can be triggered before the can is empty. Other than that, I would recommend it if you walk or hike in the woods!

Hope we never have to use it
We have bears, and my wife is hesitant to take her daily walk this time of the year (spring) when black bears emerge from a winter nap. She carries one now, and the daily walk continues with confidence. Small enough that she doesn't find it a burden to carry on her exercise walk.

The push pin at the top falls off.
I haven't had occasion to use these air horns yet, but I've been carrying them in my pocket or a pouch every time I walk my dog. Unfortunately, I discovered that the little button at the top that you depress to activate the horn, fell off of both airhorns. The jostling in my pockets was enough to dislodge the button (which is connected to a thin pin)! I was able to find one and put it back onto the can, but the second one must have fallen off during a walk because it's just gone. I don't even do anything strenuous to have caused the button pins to fall out, either!I'll have to remember to take the button pin off of the first can once it's used up, and insert it into the second can in order to make it work. I rated these airhorns as 3 stars due to the easily dislodged and lost button pins, since the air horns are unusable without them.
