Review: Update from your phone. Brilliant! - In the old days - about 5 years ago - I had a digital photo frame and it was a pain. You had to update it by taking the SD card to your computer and adding the photos. The format was often wrong, so was the ratio so you ended up either looking really tall or really dumpy. Not the case with this Nixplay photo frame. The app on my iPhone is brilliant and I can upload when away from the house so that the photos are ready to greet us when we arrive home. Formatting and ratios are perfect so you always look just the way you are - the way the photo was taken. Resolution is great, for what we're looking for. You can't see the pixels. The movement sensor (which can be deactivated if you don't want it) means that although the photoframe is always on it isn't displaying a photo when there's no one in the room. We have ours in the hall so it jumps to life when we come in to the hall. Using a web browser you can rearrange the photos to an order you would like. You can have up to 2000 (yes, two thousand) photos in a playlist. We currently have about 200 which is more than enough to rarely see duplicates, even when on a 5 second cycle. (you can adjust the display time, by the way). The only thing that is a shame is that there is no way to wall mount the frame. That would be a nice option. So, in summary, very happy with our 10 inch frame. Would recommend. Review: Just another Cloud sharing service masquerading as a picture frame - I thought finally here could be a high quality picture frame that was not just imported from China with some lame Chinese directions. The Wifi option seemed like a nice feature to easily get pictures downloaded to the device. Upon opening the package, it certainly does feel like a high quality item and there appears to be good attention to detail on the packaging (although probably too much and not environmentally friendly). I followed the directions, plugged in, used the remote to select Wifi - and I'm thinking this could be really good - and then I get this flakey message about the Wifi needing some webspot or something.....I cycled power, same thing, typed in password 5 times - each time it say I have the wrong password - I didn't, then I moved right next to my router and repeated again - finally it seemed to work and downloaded a bunch of new firmware. BTW it did not pick up my 5G Wifi signal. It froze a few times on the screen again about the webspot, I cycled power and finally got to the point where it said go to Nixplay/support to get started, I typed that into my browser and that sent me to download their app, did that, then you need to sign up for an account with password, then I couldn't tick and accept their T&C, after clicking on the T&C a few times finally it accepted, then I had to accept some email like user name - so what was the first thing I entered? and then I got dumped out to some place on their website with no clue what to do next. So I clicked around and finally found how you actually get photos to the machine - you can email them or send from Facebook / Dropbox etc. but for me not Onedrive - so there you go... Plus you need to create play list and group photos together it seems...And everythink seems to have to get uploaded to NixPlay Cloud. When you read the T&C it just appears to be another one of these services that will try to do a bunch of stuff with everything you upload and probably in there you are signing away your rights to actually own the pictures. Anyway, I just have lost the will to live and will be returning this item on the basis that it is advertised as easy and a picture viewer, but essentially it's a cloud based storage service. I can't really be sure that the images will be secure. I'm actually a tech savvy person in my professional life, I guess when you want to do things for fun and just look at your family pictures, you don't expect to have to deal with a bunch of Wifi crud and Cloud based syncing agro... Can someone please just make a really awesome high quality digital picture frame that you can plug in a simple USB storage device? AAAARGGGGGHHHHH!

Ignore the guy moaning about cloudshare
At the time of purchase the top review for this was one star by someone who couldn't set it up and saw this just being a device masquerading as a cloud share. I nearly didn't buy it, so glad I did. Here is my experience prep. 0) Setup shared google photos album and send links to family to share so they can add photos to the album Set-up 1) Install NixPlay from App store 2) plug in frame 3) select wifi and enter password 4) wait while it downloads updates and restarts 5) on phone app (connected to wifi) pair frame with app and give it a name 6) in the app select the now paired frame, click on photos, select +new playlist, create dynamic playlist with google photos, logon , select the shared google album from step 0. Wait a few minutes and the frame starts displaying the photos, cycling through each one in the album. Get your family to add photos to the google album and they show up on the frame an hour later. No need to use the Nixplay cloud works fine with Google. You only need the remote initially to connect to WiFi. Even if you do lose it, you can use the remote on the phone app. No idea what the other guy was doing, perhaps he didn't understand he had to have both the frame and his phone connected to his home wifi or maybe he got an older faulty version. Anyway if it works as I hoped and not as he describes. It may be made in China, but so is my iphone and I can get that to work too!

Great, but where is the web app?
I love love love this frame. Looks lovely and the quality of the picture is superb. It's pricey, but I'm glad I paid the extra, as sending photos via the app is awesome, no faffing with SD cards. My only criticism, and it's a small one, is the lack of PC web app. The phone app is fine, and very functional, it's just I was hoping for something I could use on my PC, ie the ability to use a bigger screen when organising photos. Also, being able to crop phots to the frame dimensions would be a really great feature.

False Storage Claim Forcing Annual Subscription - AVOID
Don’t trust this company! They advertised unlimited photograph storage which is one of the main reasons we purchased the frames, but with just over 1 month’s warning they have now reduced the storage to a mere 500MB, forcing people to subscribe to their annual subscription plan. A complete con and misleading advertisement. AVOID!

Tutto in modo molto semplice.
