Update from your phone. Brilliant!
In the old days - about 5 years ago - I had a digital photo frame and it was a pain. You had to update it by taking the SD card to your computer and adding the photos. The format was often wrong, so was the ratio so you ended up either looking really tall or really dumpy. Not the case with this Nixplay photo frame. The app on my iPhone is brilliant and I can upload when away from the house so that the photos are ready to greet us when we arrive home. Formatting and ratios are perfect so you always look just the way you are - the way the photo was taken.Resolution is great, for what we're looking for. You can't see the pixels. The movement sensor (which can be deactivated if you don't want it) means that although the photoframe is always on it isn't displaying a photo when there's no one in the room. We have ours in the hall so it jumps to life when we come in to the hall.Using a web browser you can rearrange the photos to an order you would like. You can have up to 2000 (yes, two thousand) photos in a playlist. We currently have about 200 which is more than enough to rarely see duplicates, even when on a 5 second cycle. (you can adjust the display time, by the way). The only thing that is a shame is that there is no way to wall mount the frame. That would be a nice option. So, in summary, very happy with our 10 inch frame. Would recommend.

Nixplay 10 Inch Screen
Good build quality, simple to set up all very intuitive, works well with mobile app which is great. Like the play list options for each holiday subject matter. Motion sensor works well - very green and good picture quality. Working with photos from the cloud much better than the old card system which I got fed up with & my old screen just died in the end. Recommend.

Nice gadget - shame about the power cable
The gadget itself is lovely and works well but the first few weeks were fraught with random shutdowns. It turned out to be the USB power cable which didn't make a good connection with its mains adaptor. Replaced the cable with an old one from something we were throwing away and it has worked fine ever since.

More expensive than the alternatives, but with good reason
Having bought a Nixplay for my parents some months ago, we wanted one for ourselves. Mum and Dad's has allowed our widely scattered family to share photos with them easily. We're guilty of taking lots of photos but not looking at them! The unit took just a few minutes to set up and it's easy to share photos from phone or tablet via the app, or via web browser. It was also easy to share selected photos from my Google Photos account.Picture quality is excellent and it's got a wide range of brightness for all lighting levels. Lots of configuration options for delay, transition, auto switch off, captions etc.I looked at plenty of alternatives but this ticks all the boxes, the ability to remotely upload and share photos easily set it apart.

Ignore the guy moaning about cloudshare
At the time of purchase the top review for this was one star by someone who couldn't set it up and saw this just being a device masquerading as a cloud share.I nearly didn't buy it, so glad I did. Here is my experienceprep.0) Setup shared google photos album and send links to family to share so they can add photos to the albumSet-up1) Install NixPlay from App store2) plug in frame3) select wifi and enter password4) wait while it downloads updates and restarts5) on phone app (connected to wifi) pair frame with app and give it a name6) in the app select the now paired frame, click on photos, select +new playlist, create dynamic playlist with google photos, logon , select the shared google album from step 0.Wait a few minutes and the frame starts displaying the photos, cycling through each one in the album.Get your family to add photos to the google album and they show up on the frame an hour later. No need to use the Nixplay cloud works fine with Google. You only need the remote initially to connect to WiFi. Even if you do lose it, you can use the remote on the phone app.No idea what the other guy was doing, perhaps he didn't understand he had to have both the frame and his phone connected to his home wifi or maybe he got an older faulty version. Anyway if it works as I hoped and not as he describes. It may be made in China, but so is my iphone and I can get that to work too!

Excellent
Well pleased with this and glad I got it before price went back up , It’s so easy to setup and get started once you download the app on your phone , so you can download all the pictures from your phone you are also able to share the frame with family if you give them the code to also download from there phone.you can only download 100 pictures at a time which doesn’t bother me , This is so much better than having a sd card and transferring pictures from your pc it saves you so much time

Great frame- but changes to unpairing frame - email or user ID needs consent from NixPlay
But for the fact that, if you need to change ownership of the frame you have to go through a vert long process with the company, the frame and it’s operation, quality and ease of use is amazing. Have your friends family send you photos from around the world and within minutes it appears in your frame.I bought this for my mother so that I can send her pics and she can take pics from her phone and upload it instead of waiting for me to do it for her.So impressed I bought one for myself. Great looking frame.Make sure you set up properly. User name of the frame gets a new email like [email protected] this is where you send the pictures to be uploaded. Pick carefully. Once you have paired the frame with your account you can’t unpair without “consent” and help of Nixplay.Called help desk but it was very difficult to get them to change once you have registered and paired. “I own the frame why do I need NixPlay to control what email I use or why I wish to unpair the frame” personal questions are asked. For that they get 0 *

Perfect for Grandparents
I bought this as a gift for my grandparents, who LOVE photos but are very technologically limited. Before purchase, I had some concerns, but after reading reviews and setting this thing up, it works better than I could've hoped. I figured I'd write a review to help others in the same situation. So here are the best features of this picture frame:-The pictures look fantastic, the IPS LCD panel is better than I would've expected for this price, it's great.-Being able to add pictures remotely via the app, after you've given the frame as a gift, is also fantastic, since not everyone lives near the person they're gifting this to. You can easily update it at any time with more photos.-Multiple people can add photos remotely, again excellent.-No touchscreen. Hear me out, this is GREAT. My grandparents love picking up photos and touching all over them. Every time in the past when I had handed them a smartphone or tablet to show a photo, they immediately swipe on it or touch somewhere and the picture is gone, or they're looking at a different picture then when I handed the smartphone to them. So not having a touchscreen is absolutely fantastic. I applaud the designer that decided to use a remote to control the frame.Additionally, this frame is hooked up to a switched outlet in their living room, meaning when they turn the light switch on, it turns on a lamp and this frame. I realize this isn't how the frame is intended to be used, so I was initially worried it might mess something up. However, that is not the case, it works flawlessly like this! When the frame is powered on, it takes a couple of seconds to boot-up, but then it goes on playing the slideshow just as intended. Excellent.Honestly, I am super impressed, I was expecting to encounter some-kind of issue along setting it up, but I've had no issues at all. I only hope they keep making this frame, since I will likely buy more in the future as gifts.

Einfache Bedienung, etwas kompliziertere Registrierung
