Yotsuba& Volume 1 (Japan Import) Paperback – September 5, 2003

My son is learning a new language and this book has really helped him advance. I know a lot of online learning tools are available but when you pick a Language as hard as this one you really need books. This one checks all the boxes.

This is the first manga I’ve purchased that is entirely Japanese, and I’m impressed! It’s a tasteful story with useful words inside. With basic kanji, furigana above for kanji you don’t know, hiragana, and katakana; this book is ideal for people who have basic Japanese knowledge, yet want to test it or learn more.I recommend this book for people studying Japanese, or for anyone with Japanese knowledge who likes a cute story.

This manga is pretty helpful if you are trying to learn Japanese. Be it that it is aimed for children, I suppose that would make sense. On top of that, it is a pretty cute story that I would recommend reading anyway. Although I recommend getting at least the first four, especially if your currently learning Japanese to see the language in many different scenarios.

As a person trying to learn Japanese on my own this has been a fantastic beginning resource for reading, as the characters speak in a modern and natural way that is easy to understand for a beginner. Plus, the stories are short, adorable, and realistic (though obviously exaggerated for the sake of humor). If you are an English speaking person looking to practice reading in Japanese, I highly recommend this series!

I love this book!!! It is the first manga that I've bought because I'm teaching myself Japanese, I don't understand everything yet, but I've read this book in English before so I know what is going on with the little Japanese I know so far. This is exactly what I wanted!!!

I typically buy used books and am always amazed at the quality, except one time :p This was no exception. IT was a used book but it looks perfectly good. No markings, folds, bends or anything. Almost like someone read it once and now they sold it.Very entertaining and easy to read book.

Bought this as a way to practice my Japanese reading skills as I’m in the process of learning the language. While I can’t make out most of what is said, it is definitely helping my ability to read. Content aside, the art is great. I was looking for something (Japanese language) entry-level with some nice art work. Did not disappoint.

Ordered this for my son who is learning Japanese and he is loving it. It's a great book for beginner readers and he tells me the story line is fun. Book arrived in perfect condition. It did take about 3 weeks to receive it from Japan, but it was well worth the wait.
