Inspirational stuff
I'm not the biggest reader by any stretch of the imagination but a friend once said to me when you find a genre that you are interested in it will make reading so much more enjoyable and easy.I love the adventure genre now and this book fits the bill perfectly. Alastair Humphreys took off on what was considered by many (even himself) an impossible undertaking of cycling around the world. Read about the struggles pshical and mental of going on an adventure of this scale. All this being told on an ever changing backdrop of landscapes and cultures.

Proper around the world cycling journal - Very inspriring read
This book follows on from the first part of the round the world by bike journey that Al Humphreys undertook. The combination of books makes a very good and inspiring read to understand the joy and also challenges from solo bike riding such vast distances. Highly recommend this book for anyone interested in global adventures

A life changing book.
A truly amazing book, to be honest it is a life changing read. It shows what can be achieved in life with vision, determination and the bravery to give things a go. It has inspired me to take up (a lot) smaller adventures. Try this read and other books by Alastair Humphreys. You will don't be disappointed.

I just rode my bike for 3 weeks across parts of Europe and still can only imagine how tough of a ride (mentally and physically) this must have been. An inspiring read for the arm chair adventurer or those aspiring to get out there and experience it at first hand.

On a recent long distance solo cycle trip I'd keep this book as a treat for those nights when I felt a little vulnerable alone in the middle of nowhere in my tent. It gave me confidence that wild camping was not only possible but kinda magic.
