It's just a junction box
I assumed it was a voltage converter or something similar from the description, but it's just a junction box. The GE lights have a proprietary plug/cable system and this box provides the correct plug for that. It also gives protection for the connections to the house wiring. The only downside is that there are two jacks on the side and it's not clear what the second one is for. I had to plug in all the cables to be confident I was wiring the correct one.

Simple to use and install
These units are very low profile and worked very well under my counter. They powered up my Enbrighten LED under counter lights, and because of how easy they were able to be hidden, you can't see them when you are standing by the counter. This unit is very simple to install and has an easy to remove knock out on both sides of the box.

Provides a nice clean looking installation but the wire nuts are too small
I was converting an older direct wired fluorescent installation to the new GE Embrighten LED under counter lights. these boxes are mainly junction boxes and you make the connections inside with wire nuts. The installation instructions show one connector for the LED lights in the box but there were two connectors on the boxes I received. One connector fits a linking cable for the light fixtures but the other does not fit anything supplied with the lights, I don't know what it is for. If you have #14 solid Romex coming out of your wall and connect the wires from both connectors to it, you will find that the wire nuts provided are a bit too small. I used my own wire nuts as I prefer the Scotch Lock winged type. The end result looked good and the wire connections are hidden and safe.

Works great - easy to use
If you are converting hot wires - this is the product for you - make sure to check on your needs but this is simple to affix and works like a charm

Only Two Diagonal Screws To Hold On The Cap!
These boxes are very shallow and inevitably there will be some pressure from the wires on the cap. It NEEDS screws at the four corners.

Does the job but…
This is a junction box to connect a GE LED tube light with a plug to a hard wired installation. There are two connectors in the side. One must be for a different tube light. There are two knock out holes to run your house wire into but they only provide one strain relief. My installation was replacing an old fluorescent light and so it had two wires coming from the switch and two wires from the source plus grounds meant six wires. Fitting all those through the small hole was extremely tough. Could’ve used the other hole as I had strain reliefs in my tool box but the hole is a non standard 1/2” and I had 5/8”. Also cut the wires for the connector you don’t use as it will take up valuable space in the box which is tight to begin with.

This is Pointless
As others have pointed out, this doesn't actually convert anything. It's got an input that matches the GE under cabinet light on the outside and a black and white wire inside. You connect the internal wires to your romex and screw the whole box under your cabinet, then you can plug your light into it and you're done.If you're comfortable cutting the plug end off the power cord that came with the lights and stripping the wires, you can wire those ends into the romex and put everything inside a circuit box from the hardware and have the exact same setup for a fraction of the cost. The kit I received was also missing the copper ground wire that the manual said was included. Overall, this is not a good value but it technically works, so I guess it's a two star product.**EDIT** The one reason I can see this would be useful is if you plan to replace your lights. I don't think there's a way to replace the 'bulb,' of the LED under-counter lights, instead you're supposed to replace the whole fixture. If you wired it directly without this box, you would have to re-do all that wiring each time you replace lights. This box would let you just unplug you light and plug it back in. LEDs should last years and years, so I doubt they'd need to be replaced too many times, but if you're thinking long-term, this would make that replacement easier.

It's a $10 junction box with missing parts
Works just fine to house the splice of 14 ga. wire for a low profile under cabinet junction allowing... but that 's about it.The knock out in the box and strain relief size only accommodate one 14/2 wire through, so if you plan to daisy chain multiple junction boxes for runs you can't simply link via their cords (ie opposite sides of a refridgerator) you must plan accordingly. This would require some sort of home run to yet another traditional junction box whose power is controlled by the wall switch.Speaking of cables, since this is for direct wire... the plug into the wall will become obsolete, yet this package does not include the cable required to go between the junction box and the first puck. This is something that is an obvious need when using this box. Why not include it?I've found the required replacement cable, seemingly only available at GE's subsidiary: Jasco Lighting. A single 12in cable will cost $3.99, plus an additional $8 to snail mail it to me. Luckily I only need one.Not an outright fail of a product line, but add this hassle to the limited color options (only warm white 3000K pucks available) and it becomes a mediocre/do all your homework nuisance solution to task lighting.

Electrical Fixture Designers Finally Got This Right
Very sturdy box and there are no sharp metal edges!!! Very easy to wire up, four screws and it was done - someone had his/her thinking cap on when designing the product. A bit too compact but nothing some elbow grease cannot pack the wires into the box.

This did not come with GE on the product like I ordered.
First time I have had a substitute. I ordered the GE junction boxes to match the lighting. They worked out just fine but was surprised I wasn’t told I would be getting something different.

Perfect size for under counter junction box.
Worked well for under the counter lighting. Used as a junction box and Wires stored nicely inside. The height of the box is perfect - fits wires nicely. Not too big and not too small.
