Ideal for outdoor events.
This is really an essential piece of kit if you like walking in Britain at any time of the year. Ideal if you are going to outside events. Waterproof, large enough to cover a backpack too.

Giant, waterproof, and very warm
I really like this. Used for all purposes just to test it out while on a recent hike. It is incredibly large. I'm 6'5" and 16 stone. This poncho easily covered me and my 40l rucksack. Kept off the rain for a solid hour. Very warm (almost too sweaty with it on), so probably better for using when taking a break, than hiking up the mountain.Pegged it out to use as a sitting mat for the family, and we had room for 2 adults and 2 kids, along with the food.Just out of curiosity, we used the eyelets, and 2 trekking poles, to form a makeshift shelter. Not bad, it held up, but wouldn't rely on it to stay up in strong winds.Overall, a great product at a bargain price, but if you're smaller than me, you may find it too large.

Basic but very lightweight and well made
This is a very basic poncho. A rectangular piece of waterproof cloth with a hood and sturdy looking eyelets at each corner.I’ve bought this primarily to use underneath my MSR tent to protect the delicate cloth, to use a lightweight tarp/shelter on its own with 2 carbon fibre poles and guidelines/pegs, a rucksack cover and extra waterproof layer in torrential rain to go over my very lightweight and breathable waterproof jacket that lacks a storm flap and is quite an athletic cut.I think it could do all of those jobs fairly well (although I’ve yet to test it) and at 270g it’s about the same weight as other ponchos 5-10 times the price.I would not use this as my primary waterproof, as the material is not breathable so there will be condensation build up inside if you are using this on the move or in hot/humid weather. The hood in particular is a very close fit and I would very quickly end up sweating buckets having that up!On the flip side, non breathable can be better in an emergency / static situation as it reflects heat back better keeping you warmer. It’s also a very basic design and I can imagine that any wind or movement would result in it flapping about and the rain would find its way in and you would get wet.For my intended uses this looks perfect and is amazing value, but I wouldn’t recommend that you rely on this alone to keep you dry in active/windy/warm situations

Brilliant
As a replacement for my old cycle Cape this is excellent. Used for walking it is lightweight, versatile, and most importantly, waterproof! Seems tough. I have little trouble getting it back in its bag. Very light and packs up small.

It works
I haven’t tried it on the field but it saved my day having it in my backpack and having been surprised by a rain storm in London. In the end, once home, I was totally dry. It lacks very small and it’s lightweight. I think it does it’s job perfectly.

Not like the pictures
Disappointed with this product. It is definitely not like the picture. It appears longer at the back when it is definitely not, it is level all the way round. If you put a rucksack on it would rise quite significantly at the back. Not suitable for a taller person. Comes to mid thigh and mid forearm on me (6ft tall)It is of very good quality and would most certainly keep a smaller person dry. My wife tried it on and it came to her wrist and knee (5ft 7 tall)

Water proof
With out doubt this cape is waterproof however not breathable so sweat will be a problem if you get hot while wearing apart from that large enough to wear over a rucksack and other jacket long enough to keep thighs dry so if wearing gaiters you will keep dry to a point the sleeves are just Velcro so bottom of arms are exposed if not wearing another jacket but you can always just wear over your torso.Comes with secured holes for tie downs for other uses too

Must buy for mobility scooter owners
At last a waterproof cape for my mobility scooter that is practical, waterproof, easy to put on an take off and light weight.Have tried a number of “made for mobility scooter capes” and none of them are any good. Most are hard to put on and don’t fit or hard to easily take off . This poncho is excellent and would thourghly recommend. At last I can go out without worrying about getting soaked when it rains
