Recommend spending few minutes going over the instructions and the parts (maybe watch a clip or two on YT) to ease the installation process. It was exactly as described in the instructions and so overall it was a painless and fairly quick experience. Keypad was smaller than I thought but it held on tight and secure so no issue there. Satisfied with the purchase and how it's functioning so far.

Nice lock. Not able to work with Alexa, but otherwise OK. Customer support was no help.

Easy to install as long has you are replacing existing door lock. It has options for differently cut door holes has well as three different lengths of screws for the width of the door. Easy programing as well, with a wonderful diagram to make programing fast. Yale is now owned by a company based in Stockholm, Sweden since 2023

After trying some of the other brands, I’ve never heard of. From countries I’ve never traveled to. I chose this Yale version and I’m very satisfied with it.

I have 2 older models that work great and one is going on 10+ years. I wanted to upgrade another door but this unit failed within 2 weeks. It's build quality is disappointing compared to the older units especially since it costs more that the older units. The door that it is installed on is under a covered patio and the rain does not even come close to the door even on a bad storm. And so when it stopped working I thought the batteries were bad and went to replace them and apparently just from the humidity the entire inside of the unit was covered in water. Water literally poured out of the unit when I took the battery compartment off. The older units; however, are not covered and in direct rain all the time. Neither of the 2 old units had a drop of water in them when I went to check them. I reached out to Yale support because when I installed it I noticed they went from having a rubber gasket on both sides of the door to a cheap plastic gasket that didn't seal correctly. They responded that all their units are only to be installed on interior doors and the warranty is voided if used on an exterior door. After questioning them on this I pointed out that their website shows them on exterior doors and no where in any of the installation pages, warranty pages, or their own website does it mention anything about interior use only. They then responded with their warranty and just put " improper installation" in bold text. When I stated I followed the installation correctly and once again no where does it state that it can not be installed on an exterior door they stopped responding and will not answer any more emails from me. Sad and disappointing customer service.

Work well, smooth. Follow directs step by step. Security is very much dependent on the door itself. Steel door or a steel reinforcement plate a must.
