Used Immediately!
I had a wooden coat rack that was centered over a stud. The two holes to adhere it to the wall were on either end. As soon as I received the countersink drill bit set, I used one to countersink a hole in the middle so that I could screw into the stud and secure the coat rack securely to the wall (it had fallen twice under the weight of the hanging items). It worked beautifully. I have never used a countersink drill bit before, and I was so impressed. I am a DIY mom and wife, and I need things to be easy like this. I have so many other ideas on how to use these. They were definitely worth the investment, and I can highly recommend them. They seem very, very sturdy, and the drill bit showed absolutely no sign of use after drilling through the hard wood. I am, by no means, a professional, but I hope my review helps you. I LOVE the fact that I don't have to change from a drill bit to a countersink and back again. Very convenient. Nice product.

I should have bought these years ago
I have now been using these bits for the past 6 months with great results. High quality product.I am just a Weekend Warrior, but I find myself using these bits multiple times per week. For my woodworking projects, the ability to quick-change back and forth from these bits to my Philips bit saves me a lot of time. In the past, I was using both a drill and a driver for projects. Not only that, but I was using a stand-alone countersink drill bit, plus the standard drill bits to pre-drill. What a waste of time.None of my bits have broken over 6 months of use. With the 5 different sizes, I find that I am easily able to meet my pre-drilling needs for projects. As far as I can tell, they do not need to be sharpened yet, as they are drilling in with ease in my Impact Driver. These were priced at about $20 when I bought them last summer. As of today, they are at $31, which seems steep.

The bits that are included seem to be good quality. I only used one of them so ...
I purchased these after reading the other reviews. From the use I have had with these I would say that the other reviews were accurate. I looked at many different types of countersink bits and these were my final choice. They were not the cheapest option, but they were worth the $26 price tag which isn't really all that much. The bits that are included seem to be good quality. I only used one of them so far, but used it quite a bit with no problems. You can loosen up the bit and slide it in or out some in order to drill deeper or shallower. The quick change hex shank was a must for me since I switch between this and a phillips head. The countersink drills very clean holes and took no effort to cut the wood. Just remember to go easy because it is really easy to bore a hole much deeper than you might want.My family and I buy each other tools for gifts all the time and this is something that I would definitely purchase for one of them.

Far better than the cheap sets
Like another reviewer, I had one of the drill bits break off when drilling soft cedar, with a minimal amount of bending force, on about the third use of the set. However, I blame myself as much as I blame the product. The countersink bits themselves are a great upgrade from the typical junk I've been using for the last few years. The countersinks are cleaner, they cut much faster, the bits seem more durable and substantial, and the Allen head set screws are much larger (less likely to strip the socket out). This is one of those tools that makes you wonder why you kept buying the cheap stuff. These were just a few dollars more than a generic made-in-China set, but the quality is far better. Even the packaging is better. I love that they are made and machined in the US, and despite the broken drill bit, I'll be shopping Snappy's other tools in the future.

Accurate, long-lasting bits.
I bought this set several years ago just for the one for #6 screws. (I'm sure I'll use the others eventually!) I wouldn't say I use the bit all the time, but for a while it was getting weekly use through all kinds of wood from soft to hardwoods. It stays sharp and accurate, and remains fully functional to this day. I've seen other sets online that bend or break or come loose, but when these are tightened to the desired length they don't budge. It's a great investment for how long I've used it and the projects I've used it on.

MADE IN U.S.A.
I try to buy American Made anytime possible/feasible. These are nice sinks that cut well (doug fir and oak). I've read some of the other reviews and take issue with some. Don't work as well as your more expensive ones? Well go figure. That's why there are axioms like 'get what you pay for'. For my $ these work great. 'Brittle, broke the bit'. I've broken countless bits on the junk ones I keep buying at the home despot. I have not broken one of these yet but when I do, and it will happen, I won't cry about it because they've already outlived the china box store junk. When these wear out I will be ordering more. Thanks Snappy for a good product and please keep making them here and employing Americans.

Made in the USA - and THAT's important!
I ordered a set from another manufacturer that looked like it was made in the USA but turned out to be a cheap Chinesebrand. These were sent back because one of the bits broke on the second hole. My second try was this brand "Snappy Tools" that are actually made in the USA and it shows. I've just completed 2 Adirondack chair projects using these pilot/countersink bits and I'm very happy with their performance.

Unsurpassed Quality & Design
I've been using a set of these for over 20 years. I have some others, but they rarely get used because these are the best. I finally lost the largest size last year, so I decided to buy a new set and pass my old one down to my son-in-law.These are solidly built, well designed, and sharp for a very long time if you don't abuse them. The drill bits are easy to replace and stay put under the large set screw (it helps to grind a little flat along the shank on new bits). Hex shanks mean no spinning in the drill, plus quick change ability. What more can you ask from a woodworking countersink set?
