Miss THIS kind of music
Writing any form of criticism against BTS is like lighting yourself on fire and getting beaten down by ultrafans and their bats.I've been around BTS and their music since before they debut and were planning to be a rap group, then became an experimental rap group, then became a flower boy group to appease the Kpop genre.Their earlier years were definitely experimental, but at the very least, earnest, true, emotional, and connected.I get it, they're so famous they've been compared to The Beatles, Queen, etc, but that doesn't mean their music is interesting or worth listening to anymore. They've strayed from the thought provoking, emotionally jarring music that we could relate to, reflect on, or feel something for- not the same emotions invoked by other music, because there was no other music, or artist, that was delivering what BTS was before WINGS.This album was probably the last proper album they delivered, since this was during the peak of their fame, and their entering an unfamiliar world.Unfortunately it started to go downhill from there. As a group making millions per artist, owing the spike in tourism in South Korea, the interest in Asia, the change in style worn by people as well as other Kpop groups, it definitely and would eventually lead them astray. Now their music sounds awkward, but not in a good way, more like a 'try hard way'. What they produce no longer sounds or seems genuine, but a desperate need to stay relevant and make profit by trying to sound like oversea artists. It seems that they'll do just about anything, like stuffing in a random famous musician while poorly rendering their voice into the track, so long as it promises them views, money, fame, money, fans, fame, money- and that's all it's been since WINGS.Miss their music. Miss the boys when they weren't so full of the need to just keep making money and more about producing music that makes people feel, not just jump around like lost fools in a party.

All yes all the time
What can I say. It's a BTS album. You know it's good. You know it's probably great. That's why 1.2 million people in Korea preordered without knowing a single track on this album. And why I did too!By some miracle of BTS magic I got Version O, the one I wanted most. It came with Jinnie's photocard. For some reason he is behind a bush?? Why is Worldwide Handsome Car Door Guy Third From The Left behind a bit of shrubbery? Anyways.BTS music is my favourite. My favourite music, my favourite thing about them, just my fave thing ever. But for some reason, every time I hear a song from them for the first time, it takes a while to process. I can't say I like/love a track upon first listen no matter what. It needs time to seep in, for me to grasp the melody, to understand the lyrics. I don't know. It's just a thing we go through. Same with LYS:Her. EXCEPT--"Sea" floored me right from the first few notes. The lyrics brought forth actual tears. BTS lyrics never disappoint. Okay I also loved "Serendipity" from the moment Jimin opened his mouth, but the first time I heard it was on the MV so. Might not count? Okay and I also loved "Mic Drop" from the start of that m***erf***ing bassline. And "Best Of Me" the moment Min Yoongi opened his mouth and started SINGING LIKE ACTUAL SINGING BOI WHY DO YOU HURT ME THIS WAY. Okay, I guess I have to admit this album was amazing from the get go. Honestly the song I was the least into (still appreciated, mind) was Her. Then it came on in my car one night on my way home and I just, I suddenly got it. Yes. It is perfect.Buy this album. Just. Buy it. BUY IT ALREADY.

My first K-pop album ^-^
I've loved K-pop since 2012, but it wasn't until last month when I finally decided to pre-order my very first K-pop album, "Love Yourself: Her" by BTS! I normally don't buy albums for any artist, but this time I really wanted to help support BTS for Hot 100, and have an album all to myself. It was really worth it! ARMY! We are doing amazing on the charts so far, I hope we can keep it up, so please keep streaming too! πͺπΌ I received the "O" version of the album, and a beautiful photo card of my precious Kim Taehyung. π Thank you, "O" and Taehyung for choosing me. π I can't wait to buy more BTS albums in the future! The photobook is AMAZING. And the poster is SO BEAUTIFUL, they are all KINGS!!! As for the notes, I will have to look for translations on Twitter later. πNow, the HIDDEN TRACKS! Her was released on 9/18 and I know some people already uploaded "Sea" on YouTube etc., but I waited for my album to arrive to listen to it, and let me tell you, it was an ethereal experience. I read the lyrics right after, and they made me cry. π BTS have progressed very far into their musical career compared to where they humbly started. Their story is truly inspiring. I love their music and all the hard work they put into it. I am so grateful and proud to be an owner of HER. ππWhile waiting for my album, of course I streamed HER on Spotify every day, and ALLLL of the songs are absolutely DOPE and AMAAAAZING! I seriously cannot pick a favorite one. I am really hoping that I'll be able to attend their next tour here in California. Honestly, witnessing a performance of these songs would complete my life! π And there are still 3 more albums to go!Anyway, ARMY! Let's support BTS together, forever! π-A Central Californian ARMY@BTS_CaliBabe (twt)

Got the version I wanted most!
Album arrived mostly in perfect condition (with the exception of one of the corners). I honestly didn't really care which version I got for this particular album but L ver. is on top. I didn't get a poster because the album a reprint by YG Plus. So for those who are expecting a poster - those were only available for the first few initial distributions after the album was released. Otherwise, I got all the usual inclusions that were supposed to come with the album. And I pulled Hobi!
