Recommended to me and I'm happy with it.
I had an average Chromebook that I needed to replace that couldn't be fixed by the IT man and he recommended this exact model. It is a nice change going back to a laptop! It does everything that I need it to do. Has lots of space for pictures and documents. The processing speed is fast and I can have multiple tabs open at a time with no glitches or slow downs. It charges fairly quickly and have never found it to be too hot or overheating, even in the summer. I sometimes use it for work and the battery will last all day with fairly constant use. It was simple to set up. The only thing I could complain about is the power button. You hold it for a few seconds and the screen comes on, but if you hold it for one second too long the screen just flashes on and off. It kept doing this to me at first and I thought it was damaged lol. Once you get the "timing" just right, it is fine though. The price was also very fair and it arrived quickly and in new condition. This is my first Asus laptop, and overall, I'm very satisfied with this brand and model. I even recommended this laptop to someone else with similar needs and they are also satisfied.

Incredible device!
Great speed, super fun and easy to set up, great screen quality, perfomance is absolutely amazing! Love the lightweight feel and large keys! Already has MS office and CoPilot was not as obnoxious as I thought so did not turn it off yet. Doing cs50 on it and it runs super sweet! Daughter used Asus brands and recomended a Vivobook, she was right!

If you know your computers, you know what to expect...
Good, reliable brand and great price for what it came with. I'd love a version with a backlit keyboard for the price point, but it's for my wife. She needed it for military travel/exercises, and it's held up so far.

Great for a price point!!!
I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and for the price, it is an amazing laptop. I bought it for school as a secondary laptop. Typically I am a Mac user. But I have to say I am very impressed.Processor is fast, graphics are great for the screen size. The only thing it’s missing is backlit keyboard. But overall, in comparison to more expensive competitors, I would recommend it!

OS is awful
What I wanted to purchase was a budget computer because my needs are simple: I like to read and program. What I have received demands much personal information and an active internet connection to phone home to windows without any options to opt out. I have received two requests from Windows and Asus to advertise to me. I feel like I purchased spyware by accident. I have purchased Windows and Asus products in the past, and they were adequate, but I do not believe I will do so again. You don't get this hassle with Linux or Apple, nor Android (at least when I had one).EDIT: You cannot make a local account with Windows 11 Home S, your quickest bypass will be making a new account using a temporary email address (I like temp-mail.org) so that you can check codes they send you. From there you can use the windows store to find the 'disable s mode' (not called exactly that but literally on the windows store). If you want to go for a Linux OS you'll need a thumb drive to put the new OS on, you'll want to follow a guide but the gist is that you'll boot from the thumb drive and install the OS from there. I went for Linux Mint, I don't think you'd need a lot of technical skill but some comfort with googling will be required as there are some small hitches you can encounter. For this device particularly the built in driver manager will recommend a new driver for the wireless card - don't do it, it is mistaken.

Great and inexpensive laptop
So far I am very happy with this laptop. I do photo editing and also use it to run my laser engravers. It has performed flawlessly. I like that it has the number pad on the right and a nice big and clear screen. The batter life is great too! It was also nice that it wasn't full of bloatware. I would purchase this again for sure.
