I live on a lake. I fish quite often. I have many many fishing rods and reels. I have always used spinning reels and bait casters. I taught my wife to use spinning reels and bait casters. There are times and conditions that these reels are not optimum. And I was getting tired of the backlash from the bait casters.I don't use one enough to be proficient on every cast and when I use light weight lures, it's worse. I need a reel I can cast a long distance, without backlash (I want to spend time fishing and not detangling my line), and I can work the lure as intended.The Zebco Omega pro Spincast reel is fantastic. It is smooth. It will cast a long distance and is accurate. A long distance for me is 20 to 30 yards. You will not believe how smooth the line comes off this reel. I have changed all my favorite rods to a Zebco Omega Pro reel. They are not just for beginners or hobby fishermen. They are for any level of angler, beginner to pro. Don't get caught up on the hype that you must learn to use a bait caster. If you like them, use them. If you want a reel that is accurate, smooth, has no backlash, and can cast a long distance? Get this reel. And, the price is right.

Worth the extra cost over other casting reels. Very smooth operation . Handled a 16" channel catfish with no problem.

This thing is better than the zebco bullet in my opinion. Really smooth everything in it and a great look.

Very nice reel. Works very smoothly. Only downside is I’m not impressed by the 10 lb line it came with. Breaks more like 6-8 lb line and is kinky, holds its memory. Will replace with better quality line soon.

It’s heavy and not very fast. That being said it’s built super solid and retrieve is smooth. Can accommodate braid if that’s your jam! Love mine!

This has best the best purchase so far for my husband as well as my father inlaw, they are very picky when it comes to their fishing and work. This product is durable easy to install as well as perfect weight especially for my father in-law who has shaking hands

Better than a Delta, but not as good as a Bullet Nevertheless, this is a great spin-caster and will handle a big bass! Runs braided line runs smoothly if you keep it clean!!!

This is the second one ive purchased in the last 2 months....Very impressed with the quality..had to buy another.
