Worked for me
This worked perfectly for a corset I was making. It does feel plasticy and it does fray a lot, but I've worked with this type of fabric before, so it was okay for me.It is very pretty and was the perfect thickness, texture, and weight for my project! The black on black floral pattern adds a nice element.I didn't try a burn test, but I suspect that it would melt if you ran a fire around it to prevent fraying, although that would be unsafe.I used my iron on the polyester setting and it didn't melt, so that's a positive.

Pretty
I used it to upholster a wall. It's pretty and smooth, don't fall apart after cutting. I was going to use it to make curtains but, it's pretty thin. I would use it for crafting but, not sure if would use it for anything like clothing or costume. My room is not completed at all. Don't judge the mismatched everything. That was just step 1.

Accurate product description, nice fabric
I ordered this product to make a costume and am happy with what I received. Note that there are no selvages; the fabric was cut on all four sides and frays accordingly (deduct half a star). I ordered two five-yard lengths and received exactly that. There doesn't appear to be an option for ordering a continuous 10-yard length, so I'll be wasting a yard and a half of fabric (deduct another other half star). Washed beautifully on delicate cycle, machine-dried on lowest setting and had no wrinkles--impressive. After washing, the fabric is slippery (of course) but drapes well and has enough substance for a somewhat lightweight outer layer for my costume. If the exact length isn't important to you, and you don't care about finished edges, this is lovely fabric. Color (dark green) was surprisingly consistent with my phone and computer monitor.

Looking Good Fabric
Green satin fabric really works well for crafting ideas.

Poor quality / Low thread count
Very pretty but the fabric sheds a lot and ends up all over the place when you cut it. It’s also a little bit stiff, wish it was softer!

Tricky but perfect, with some extra prep
This type of fabric tends to unravel at the edges but was the perfect thickness and had a decent pattern for the apron of my daughter’s Swiss Canton Bern costume…the trick is to do trifolds with iron-on hemming tape in the middle for all of the seams…it definitely takes longer to make a simple apron with this fabric, but the end result is the look we needed.
