best $7 meter I've ever owned
Remember when Harbor Freight would offer their $5 meter as a free gift? This meter is miles better. Has all the usual functions plus a non-contact voltage sensor, frequency counter (!), and temperature probe. Display is super easy to read and offers a back light for when you're in trying to take readings in some dark corner. The auto-off function should save battery life. Even comes with a little fabric pouch to keep everything together, and a screwdriver to access the battery compartment. This isn't a Fluke, a Keithly or a Simpson. It's obviously cheaply made (tho I can't understand how they could make any money on it at this price). I don't think the case will take much abuse, and one probe fell apart immediately. But this is a GREAT meter at the price.

This is very likely the best cheap meter on Amazon. Don't hesitate to get the B model.
I'm a bit of a multimeter junkie, but not a snob and I love cheap-o meters. I have one at arms length in every room and car I own. This meter is a keeper IMHO.The feature set is amazing for this price. 6000 count, temp, NCV, Good backlight, REL key, Freq counter, etc. Continuity test with stock cables is not Fluke fast but easily beats most Aneng/Unit-T class meters. Voltage and resistance tests track my Fluke 179 dead on. The leads, while not great, are WAY better than they deserve to be. Stiff-ish PVC, BUT they are nice and thick and come with *needle tips* which is not expected on such an inexpensive device. Nice surprise. Powered by AAA batteries which is a very welcome feature compared to increasingly difficult to find 9v.This meter would be a perfect first meter for most any purposes and would be a great throw around meter for people like me who use meters for electronics repair, automotive work and general poking around.

Looks like good unit
Looks solidly built. It comes with 2 AAA batteries that were dead on arrival - took 1 star off for that. Measures resistance OK, haven't used it for anything else yet.

This is a Swiss Army knife Multimeter; it measures almost everything!
For $6.99 (what I paid) this thing is amazing! In addition to volts ohms & amps, it also measures frequency, capacitance, duty cycle, temperature. Includes a LED tester and a loud continuity beeper this old guy can hear. Not sure I have found all the capabilities...Also has a non-contact voltage sensor and the ability to "capture" the min and max of a varying voltage. The display is large and "almost" four digits; it goes up to 5999, not 1999 like most other meters. A 51K resistor shows 50.93k ohms.Build quality looks good and its relatively small. The curvy shape is easy to hold in one hand. It even comes with batteries and a storage pouch. The meter is only "partly" autoranging. You have to manually switch between AC and DC measurements. Some functions need to be manually selected to use them. This would be a good meter for someone who knows their way around electronics. For novices, a more fully autoranging meter would be better.

Works great for such a low price
Feels a little flimsy but works great. I needed an inexpensive but accurate meter to use for some 12v automotive work and to check 110v household things. Amazing for how little it costs.

Works Good
But that was me I got it for my son-in-law he hasn't complained so it must have worked just fine for him thank you
