Pantene Pro-Vitamin Essence, Daily Repair Mist, Weightless Leave-On Treatment Strengthens & Rebuilds Damaged Hair, Reduces Breakage, 2.5 Fl Oz

I was SO excited to see this go on sale and try it out. My hair length goes to my bra strap, texture is mixed with my grey being wirey/frizzy and the rest being fine, straight and tangles easily. Pantene directions are 5-10 sprays on damp hair before leave-in conditioning/heat spray. Pantene also says it can be used on dry hair. Of note, I use the Pantene 10-in-1 for my leave-in conditioning heat protectant. OK, tried it on dry hair as soon as I got it. It felt not great with this application method. I wonder if people saying it felt sticky or left a residue were applying it to dry hair. I would only do it this way again if I was applying before bed with plans to wash in the morning. I used it this morning on freshly washed, damp hair. I started with the max amount of 10 sprays knowing that it could be too much. I distributed both to my roots and lengths, as directed. Next, I applied my normal heat protectant in the same amount I normally use and only to my lengths. I blow dried my hair like normal. The results???? Roots and the top portion of my hair looked great. My lengths were weighed down and greasy looking in some places. So this Essence product is lightweight as claimed based on my roots. I need to figure out the right amount to use on my lengths knowing I use a second product there. I feel confident that the quantity of both products was too much for my hair type and reducing the quantity of sprays will be great. My hair is soft, not sticky at all, so the residue issue doesnt appear to be a problem when applied to damp hair thats blown dry. The scent is the classic Pantene scent. Not sure why they hype this up with the perfume mentions. It's literally just the normal Pantene shampoo scent which I happen to like. I would definitely buy again

I’ve been using this and k18 together for a few months now and noticed a huge improvement in split ends. I use k18 once a week for the weekend everything shower, and the Pantene the other bar wash days during the week. It’s super light weight, never over applied or makes the bar heavy, and has a nice light scent. Spray and let it sit for a few minutes and then comb through. The reviews in not getting all of the product are correct I could get the last little bit from the bottom of the jar. The price is right. I use the Pantene vitamin essence and then a few minute later throw in a heat protectant/leave on conditioner. Works great. My hair is fine and it doesn’t feel greasy.

Does smooth out hair well, does not add softness but makes hair manageable. Smells pleasant enough

This product is advertised for damaged hair. My hair isn't damaged much (let's face it, we all have some damage), but it's very fine. I prefer to keep my hair long, and with it being fine, the ends tend to dry out. I also struggle with volume and tangles. I love Pantene products and my hair has been happiest since I've been consistently using Pantene Shampoos and Conditioners, so I was excited to try this product. The first thing I noticed was how beautifully packaged this product is. It's very appealing and feels luxurious to hold. The scent came next. I was WORRIED about this. I'm sensitive to smells and usually something that advertises "coconut" still overdoes it with the artificial coconut fragrance, which is awful. I hate it and it gives me a headache. I steer clear of "tropical breeze" perfumes. This product, however, has a light, realistic coconut aroma. It smells like a tropical breeze should - light, fresh, and a little warm. I have been told by strangers that I smell good when I walk by, even when I'm not wearing other perfumed products. I mentioned that I'm concerned with dry ends, volume, and tangles when it comes to my hair. This product does a great job of moisturizing my ends without weighing down my hair. This is a thin line I walk with my hair texture. A lot of leave-in products have me looking like I just crawled out of a bog. With this, I don't have to sacrifice style for moisture. My hair has been much more manageable as well. I don't have to comb it as frequently, and it's just plain softer. I have already purchased a second bottle and I hope to keep this in my hair care routine.

This product smells lovely and definitely made my hair feel soft, but I'm really confused about the bottle - which is thick glass and looks like a perfume bottle. I can't find anything saying this bottle is refillable, so this seems like a real waste to have so little product in this bottle. I'm sure some folks will see this as luxurious, but to me it feels unconscionably wasteful. I would love more product in a normal bottle or the same bottle, but make it refillable.

I have fine wavy hair, but a lot of it & it’s always a struggle to find products that help my hair feel smoother and less frizzy while also not weighing it down or making it feel gummy or oily. On top of that I have very sensitive & acne prone skin so it is nearly impossible to find products I love. I also don’t usually write reviews but for my wavy hair people- you need this, get it. This works best for me on towel dried hair & when I spray it into my hands and scrunch all over. It doesn’t have hold to it but it helps make things less tangly and more smoothed out. My hair dries shiny and soft, plus it smells great. The only downside is the bottle is slippery when it’s wet since it’s glass, but I don’t even care because the product is so good. Pantene please keep making this, it’s awesome.

This stuff is horrible. Period. After using it ONE time exactly as the directions say, I knew IMMEDIATELY it was not going to be used long term, if at all. It made my thick, somewhat coarse and wavy hair so gummy, greasy and gross, I wanted to wash it out but didn't have time. I was embarrassed at how greasy my hair looked. I don't get the 4 and 5 star reviews, I really don't. According to the directions, I also think you can really only use this as the directions state if you wash your hair everyday, which I do not and will not do. It states to apply it to clean damp hair before any other leave in----which to me means you need to then wash that leave in out of your hair the next day in order to apply this again. I cannot imagine piling this stuff on my hair daily. I will give it one more try today after shampooing to see if maybe I used too much, but the directions say to apply generously and it's promoted as being light weight. As for the price for what you get and the packaging: ridiculous. This could have been put in a plastic bottle with no extra fancy box packaging and been half the price. And lots of reviews keep mentioning the awesome smell.....where is it? All I smell is the faint smell of what every Pantene Miracle Rescue product smells like. Which I do not like that particular smell, it has an almond smell to me which I hate. There is nothing coconut or tropical about this product. Update: After spending $20 on this, I wanted to at least give it the 14 days of continuous use it says will give you results. So here's my take: I still will not buy it again. I stand by my 1 star review for no other reason than this cannot possibly even come close to giving you soft, healthier looking hair unless you are washing your hair everyday-----which we all know is not only not necessary, but can actually be detrimental to some hair-----it makes my scalp so dry and itchy if I wash daily and my hair does not need it.. With daily use of this plus a very lightweight leave in I have used for years, this leaves my hair so weighed down and greasy. Yes, on wash day I do like the way my hair feels after using this. But for the next 2-3 days until I shampoo again, my hair feels gross. I also continue to hate the way this smells. I again tell you, it does not smell like coconut or anything tropical. If you've used their Miracle Rescue conditioners, that is what this smells like.

I love love love this spray! I’m a product fiend and picky about them and now this is one of go-tos. It makes my hair so soft and it looks great. The spray nozzle is awesome and sprays evenly. I like the glass bottle. I do wish the bottle was a tiny bit easier to hold, but the product within being so great it makes that bit a little quibble. This is a fantastic product to add to your hair routine and I highly recommend!
