direct sunlight and the lights rarely work. I really like them in the daytime though. But, the solar unit blows.EDIT.The unit started working and I love it day and night.

Was sent a broken frog and solar panel.
Cheap cheap cheap! The solar back was off & broken on arrival. Didn’t work. It’s very light & small. Very disappointed that I was sent a broken product.
