I got this cast iron bc I love Dolly Parton! It came preseasoned but I still put a little oil before the first use! I made my first dinner in it and it cooked the food up quite nicely! Cleaned up very easily using the lodge pan scrapper thing. Put on stovetop on low to keep it nice and dry for the next use and reseasoned with a little more oil

My daughter wanted a cast iron skillet and she loves Dolly Parton! This was a perfect Christmas gift for her. She was delighted when she opened the box. When she took the skillet out and saw that Dolly’s image was imprinted into the iron was thrilled. It was a win. She got a good quality pan that is durable and will last a lifetime. This is a Lodge cast iron pan the quality is assured so there isnt much to say about it. These come pre-seasoned. But i like to season cast iron properly before using it so when i got it i placed it in the oven and set it to 200 degrees. When it got up to temperature i put a light coat of vegetable oil over the pan inside and out. I placed that upside down in the oven with a cookie sheet on the rack below it and turned the oven up to 500 degrees. I set a timer for one hour and after the hour i turned the oven to 200 degrees letting the pan cool to that temperature. When the oven and pan was at 200 degrees i repeated the process of covering the pan with a light coat of vegetable oil. I did this three times and ended up with a beautifully seasoned almost non stick cast iron pan.

Great cast iron with a little bit of Dolly Parton on it! Cooks well and functions normally for a cast iron skillet.
