Viking TacticsVTAC PES Ultra Light Sling with Metal Buckle

Signs of wear after first use
In summary this sling is showing signs of wear early. In the first day of use. I used it for one day for about 5 hours. The sling was threaded through a quick release (magpul quick detach qd sling swivel) attached to the stock. The material was not nylon. Instead, it was some other material. That material seemed not to work well with the quick release attachment and was falling apart. The threading buckle was plastic. Overall this a good sling. It just doesn’t seem to work well with my set up. Keep in mind it’s a light weight sling. The design fits that objective very well. I just needed more durability. I opted for the VTAC-MK2 and absolutely love it.

Lightweight, but is it strong?
The pictures don't really show the Hypalon material, which looks strong enough, but it appears to sacrifice durability for weight (i.e. it's lighter). It also looks like it would easily tear if it contacts a sharp object vs. the normal denier nylon. This concerns me, because the Hypalon is used to secure the butt of the weapon. I'm returning it and ordering the non-lightweight version (Viking Tactics Wide (Padded) Sling - Upgrade).

Lighter faster quicker stronger
It's either this specific Vtac product, or the Ferro Concepts Slingster for my carbines and PDWs (8lbs and under). I go with the upgraded padded VTac for rifles/ DMRs (8lbs plus and over). Highly recommend this sling system. Light fast no fuss. 5 stars.

Perfect
Awesome two point sling for my AR pistol. Had a cheap random brand one I bought and this one is much better in every way. Very lightweight and comfortable, make adjustments with ease. Just FYI no QD mounts included.

Better than expected
This is the best sling I have ever had. It is light weight and attached nicely to my Magpul buttstock and foreard sling ring. HIGHLY suggest this sling.

one handed adjustment
This is my first time using a sling on a rifle but it was very thought out when designing it.The one handed adjusting ability is what makes this sling nice.

Awesome Sling
Very easy to manipulate, but holds steady wherever it is set to. Overall an amazingly thought out sling.
