I just received the Taupe Size 8. After wearing them around the house for about 1/2 hour, everything feels pretty good. This is amazing, as I am 57 years old, have wide feet, and though I may not have "cankles", my ankles are certainly not as slender as they once were. Most medium widths are too narrow for me, even when I size up (I'm really a 7.5) for extra width, but these sandals are wide enough, and the leather is neither too loose nor tight around my ankles. What is not visible in the photo image is that I also have a mangled right ankle, from a DUI/wrong-way driver car crash more than 20 years ago. The gladiator style camouflages all the scarring and deformation :-) . The foot bed is well molded and cushioned with a gentle arch support. The sandals feel pretty comfy so far! Overall, I am very pleased.

Very cute and comfortable sandal. However, the sandal runs very big! I ordered a half size down from my normal size and it is still big. I could have gone a whole size down. The sandal fits very loose.
