A Cool Looking Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Heetipuk Mini Bluetooth Speaker Wireless, 5W Loud Portable Small Bluetooth Speaker with SD Card Slot & 1800mAh Rechargeable Battery Up to 8 Hours.Sometimes you see things you don't really need bust must have because they look cool. This little speaker from Heetipuk is one of those things.Just look at it and tell me you don't want it!I wasn't disappointed when it arrived either. Even the box it comes in is designed to look cool. The speaker itself is very square and quite bulky in design, but that's not a negative. It's plastic and it's lightweight but feels solid and robust. The design is very vintage, very retro with lots of shapes and colours and even some odd looking hieroglyphics on the back.there's a handy carrying strip built in as well. The top buttons include a twisty volume knob which is a nice change to the usual push button type as it gives you much more control over the volume levels.Other buttons are used to play and skip tracks backwards and forwards once connected.Bluetooth is simple to connect and stable in use.Besides Bluetooth you can also insert a Micro SD card to play MP3s etc via that, making it a truly portable go anywhere speaker.Charged via the included USB-C lead, a full charge boasting around 8 hours continuous use, obviously depending on type of usage, volumes etc.Sound-wise, for the size of the speaker in this thing it's actually more than adequate. Ok, it won't win any awards but you're not expecting it to. But for a casual listen when you're out and about it's great and certainly plenty loud enough. It's priced at the lower end of the market, so if you're after a ridiculously cool looking, small, portable Bluetooth speaker with added SD card playback then this is definitely worth a try.

quirky design, easy to pair, acceptable sound. Mid-tones a bit muddy, plasticky volume dial
PROS-not bad high range for a speaker of this type and size (not great, but not bad)-there is a hint of bass from the “passive radiator” (not powerful, but I can make out the lower frequencies)-quirky design-USB-C charging-battery lasts a good amount of time-not too heavy-no RGB (merely a small blue LED to indicate a bluetooth connection)-takes a microSD (aka TF) card, so you can play music entirely independently from a phone/computer-can be paired with another speaker to give stereo soundCONS-can’t replace the battery (all batteries lose capacity as they age)-not weatherproof (this is an interior party speaker, not a poolside party speaker)-mid-tones a bit muddy-somewhat plasticky (especially the volume dial)-strange volume issues when connected to my computer via bluetooth: I have to play with the computer’s volume before the speaker will play at anything but the lowest possible-no instructions on how to pair with a _different_ bluetooth source, after you pair it with a first one. I need to experiment.NOTES-there is a bit of blue protective plastic on the front of the speaker. It’s quite a challenge to remove this plastic (I had to break out the tweezers), and it’s adhered on to the speaker quite strongly. i was a bit worried that I’d damage the speaker trying to get this plastic off.MY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

Punches above its size
This is the sort of speaker that would come in handy if camping or picnicking, offering better sound than that of a phone's built-in speaker, and optionally running standalone, playing music from a microSD card instead.Controls are basic; an analogue volume knob and four buttons, three of which control playback/track-skip-forward/track-skip-back when playing music from the microSD card, the last of which is a power button which you need to press for two seconds to turn the speaker on or off, or briefly to switch between microSD card mode (if one is present) and Bluetooth mode.MicroSD cards can be formatted as FAT, FAT32 or exFAT, I've tried all three (including a 128GB exFAT card) and it played them all.Bluetooth connectivity is easy enough. If it's in Bluetooth mode then as long as it's not actively connected to another device it advertises itself as "C10". No PIN, just pair right in.Sound quality is OK and better than many laptops and will easily wipe the floor with playing music from a phone speaker, but it does resonate and distort with certain sounds. Feed a frequency sweep through it and you won't find it, but certain patches of music just sounds bad through it. You know the background chiming of a Nintendo Wii selection screen? That's the sort of sound it struggles with. Other stuff it's fine with. The punchy bass of Starlight by The Supermen Lovers? No problem. At the end of the day though this is a small speaker, which gives a surprisingly decent sound considering its size. The included 43cm USB-C cable is charge-only, but it doesn't need a charge-and-data cable as the USB-C port is also charge-only. Current consumption during charging is around 550mA whether switched on or not and whether playing music or not.Opening the unit up requires prying off the speaker grille and surrounding plastic fascias to reveal the screw holes. Opening it reveals a control board, a 4 ohm 5 watt speaker and a Hongli 18650 lithium ion cell with battery protection circuitry on the side (built around a DW01A protection IC). The main board is based on an ZhuHai JieLi AS23C082687 chip, supplemented with a HAA9809 5 watt class AB/D amplifier and a CL4056D battery management IC.It's a shame they've chosen to make the battery difficult to replace; the case could easily have been moulded with a pair of spring contacts designed to take an off-the-shelf, protected 18650 cell. As it is, the battery can be replaced but involves soldering.

Fantastic retro-style Bluetooth device
As of this date, March 2024, the regular price of this item is $19.99. Without any available discount or coupon at the time. The HEETIPUK Mini Bluetooth Speaker is a delightful retro-style device that combines aesthetics with decent sound quality at an affordable price point.Pros:- Vintage Design: The speaker resembles an old-school radio, complete with physical volume dial and other controls, giving it a charming retro vibe.- Build Quality: Despite its compact size, the speaker feels sturdy and well-built, with top-notch silk screening, printing, and raised edge details.- Connectivity: It connects easily via Bluetooth and also supports playback from a micro SD card, providing flexibility in audio sources.- Portability: With its small size and relatively lightweight, it's easy to carry around in a backpack or bag, making it ideal for on-the-go use.- Battery Life: The built-in rechargeable battery lasts up to 8 hours, allowing for extended listening sessions without frequent recharging.Cons:- Sound Quality: While adequate for its size, the sound may lack volume and clarity, especially at higher volumes or when listening from a distance.- Single Bluetooth Connection: The Bluetooth chipset only supports one connection at a time, limiting its versatility in multi-device setups.- Limited Bass: While it features a passive radiator to enhance bass, some users may find the bass lacking depth and impact.Overall, the HEETIPUK Mini Bluetooth Speaker offers good value for money, especially considering its stylish design and acceptable sound performance. It's a great choice for those looking for a budget-friendly Bluetooth speaker with a retro flair.

Schicke Bluetoothbox

Little Box. Big Boom.
This is just a fun speaker all around. The colours pop on all sides, and the compact form factor makes it incredibly easy to tuck away with you -- whether on the go, or as you mill around your home from room to room. But make no mistake, this little guy packs a lot of quality audio inside. It may not be audiophile levels of high quality, but it is certainly enough to keep the hands clapping and the bass booming. And more importantly, it is definitely a step up from playing music directly from your phone.I will mention, however, that the sound quality drops noticeably when the speaker is not placed on a flat surface (for example, if it was hung on a doorknob instead). So the sound itself is somewhat dependent on the acoustics of the speaker's body being on a flat surface. That aside, I think you'll find that the other features to function just as described. The Bluetooth connection is easy & quick to setup, and the inclusion of an SD slot to play music directly is very much a welcomed bonus. It would be nice if the LED light worked as a charge indicator when plugged in, but the device charges so quickly that this is almost moot. Our kids and I both had a blast taking this speaker with us throughout the the house on a rainy day, and I'm sure it will keep your head nodding too.
