How great it is to know that a razor sharp exacto knife is no longer just a slip away from slicing into my "other" hand. I love this thing. I bought the 18" variant. I'll surely buy more sizes. Whole bunch of peace of mind while cutting paper, fabric, cardboard, greyboard. Nice and thick ruler. Grippy stuff on the base where it contacts your workpiece. Big, contrast color numbers are easy to read. It's a great ruler/straight edge besides having the finger protection.

This ruler completely blew away my expectations. It is of much higher quality and larger in size than I thought when purchasing. I originally thought it was a bit expensive at $40, but now realize it is incredible value. I attached a picture with shoes in it for scale. This ruler is not simply long, it is wide, very stable, and comes with a giant handle you can really hold on to well! The webbed non-stick material on the bottom is awesome. Not only does it stay put, but it does NOT harm photo finishes when placed right on top of them under pressure! I have used rubber sheets before that left marks on the photo, ruining my prints. As long as you keep this ruler clean, you won't have that problem. Caution, however, if you are using a weak photo adhesive because it can start peeling due to the ruler's effective non-stick material. No fault of the ruler, just mentioning it. I cannot say enough good things about this product. I had went through 3 different ruler before trying this one. Nothing was able to achieve the cleanliness in cuts that this ruler did. Just look at the closeup picture of the cuts. Incredible. When a tool comes along that makes things creatively possible that weren't possible before, that tool can feel like a Godsend. That's how I feel about this ruler.

I use this as a guide for trimming photo backing board, and it works well. The finger guard along its length is a really nice feature. It’s firm, straight and safe. I also appreciate the bit of grip/padding on the underside.

I often order DTF gang rolls for sublimation and use a rolling cutter to separate each transfer. It’s important for me to cut each one straight and I have been using a flimsy metal ruler that constantly moved while I was cutting. The Victor ruler has made it so much easier on me! It’s sturdy, stays in place perfectly and protects my fingers from the sharp blade. I’ve used it for my latest project for the past two days and I could not be happier.

This was exactly what I needed. Straight edge, ruler marks and a sticky bottom to hold what I’m cutting in place. Perfect.
