This device allowed me to chop onions evenly for the first time since arthritis affected use of my hands. So welcome!The handle is easy to grasp and keep hold of while giving me guides for slicing cleanly and straight. After the initial slicing, I use it to hold the slices in places while I chop them into smaller pieces.I like also that it helps me keep the knife from slipping away and cutting me. My "holding" hand is out of range.It is super easy to clean, which is great because I often need to reuse it for other vegetables when making a meal. I feel confident in the sturdiness that it won't bend over time.I thought it might be nice to have and found out that it was fabulous for my needs.

This little tool is magic. It holds the onion securely, guides even-sized slices, or even dices, and best of all reduces tears by keeping the cuts together until you're done! It really speeds up the slicing too. It's very sturdy and has no trouble piercing an onion. The tip protector will keep it safe in the drawer. I haven't tried on any other food since I got it for onions. But now that I know how much fun it is to use, I expect to be experimenting. I can see slicing every other tine for apples for example.
