I’ve been using the Thereye Reverse Osmosis Countertop Water Filter for over a year now, and it’s hands down one of the best purchases I’ve made for my home. Right out of the box, it was incredibly easy to set up — no plumbing, no tools, just plug it in and fill the tank. As someone who rents, that was a huge plus. The water tastes amazing — clean, fresh, and no weird aftertaste like we used to get with our tap. I tested the TDS levels and consistently get near-zero readings, which gives me total confidence in the quality. Update September 27, 2024 —- DO NOT BUY OR DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY'S PRODUCTS. The water filter broke 2 days ago(have it for only 2 months) and despite 3 emailed to the seller but no response. Contacted Amazon agent to get my refund. Took off 1 star for broken machine, 1 star for each for no email respond. Amazon not allow me to leave no star. Not happy cuz they should have at least respond to my email. Original review -- First, delivery was ok but the packaging was bad because the top of the box was busted opened. After I opened it and get it rolling and water tested, I found the following: Noise level when it is running on flushing is 71db filtering water is 64db and dispensing water noise level is 67db. The noise test distance is 6” from the machine. Water TDS testings are followings: My tab water is 87 Poland Spring bottle water is 68 Briter water filtered is 56 and this brand Thereye reverse osmosis system read 6 but its own indicator showed 3TBS. That’s very good as far as I am concerned. The only problem that I don’t like is water wasted (I took off 1 star for this reason). Every time when the system asks to change water. You need to empty 40% of the water from the tank. I was surprised that the TDS waste water reading is 683. It’s lots of water wasted but also it showed the system works and you are getting good clean water. Bottom line is you get approx 2 qtrs of clean water(60%) out of one full tank of tab water. I am not sure how long will this filter last (in gallons). I need ask the seller, also how long of the shelf life of the new filter will hold so that I can get a spare filter. Update: After emailed the seller I found that the water filter is very expensive-$99 and she couldn’t answer my question of the water filter’s shelf life. I decided to wait for the water filter to go dead before I order one.

Compared to unfiltered water, and purified water using this machine, I can definitely taste a major difference in the quality. The purified water taste distinctly much cleaner and there’s less of a metal aftertaste compared to just boiled tap water - which is how I drink my water before investing in this machine. I’m not a fan of buying water bottles because those money add up so in order to find an alternative to that, I found out about purified water machine. It sits on my countertop without taking up much space and is easy to use. The water filter speed is quick and it is easy to use even for a beginner like me who just got started with purifying water. The water tank is also large enough for me to not have to refill water often. With this machine, I am able to drink purified water at a reasonable price at the touch of a fingertip. The initial cost is a lot but in the long term, I am saving a lot of money and it is also beneficial to my health, so I consider this well worth.

I've had this filter for a year and I was considering getting a replacement filter but it costs $100 which is almost the same as buying the system all over again. Also it's worth noting alongside many other reviews here that the machine leaks from the bottom at random. I thought it was the filter but the water still comes out of the bottom of the machine after I reconnected the filter inside. Also seems that the company has gone AWOL and discontinued the product anyway. Cannot recommend.

Great job at filtering water, don’t love how frequently I have to change it but all in all love

The product became non-functional about three months of usage. The water pump does not pump water through the filter. I emailed the support twice - no response. Amazon should have the responsibility to look into this. UPDATE: “The support team eventually did respond to the functional issue I encountered in using the water filter after three months - the delay in the response from the support team is due to my original email being assigned to the SPAM folder. The support team conveyed my description of the issue to the engineering team which will be resolved in the update/modification of the next generation product which I shall look forward to procure one for my own use. Based on the highly professional response from the support team, I have now changed my review to 5 stars”

I am genuinely appalled that this product is marketed as a “convenience” when in reality it is the very definition of a daily nuisance. The design flaw is glaring. The dual-reservoir system pulls from only one side, meaning the moment that side empties the machine halts, beeps incessantly, and demands both sides be refilled equally before it will function again. Imagine purchasing a modern water filtration system only to spend your day babysitting it like an antique teapot. That is my unfortunate reality. According to other reviews of this product: The company does not respond to emails, they have stripped the product from their own website, and it is clear they have abandoned accountability altogether. If you encounter an issue, you will face it alone. That should concern every potential buyer. To call this machine “reverse osmosis” is an insult to the term. It is nothing more than a glorified, overpriced counter ornament that makes you work harder for your glass of water. My refrigerator delivers water with more efficiency, reliability, and frankly, dignity. I purchased this unit hoping for convenience. What I received instead was a daily reminder that sometimes the most sophisticated-looking gadgets are nothing more than cleverly disguised headaches. Save yourself the regret. Do not buy this product.
