I bought this to replace the squeaky strap on my “Amazon Essentials Camera Bag.” I also wanted to change the ‘look’ of the shiny black camera bag into something more vintage. On the one hand the strap is very smart in a dark tan with bronze metal clips. It’s long (1.5m) and very strong. On the other hand, I’d hoped it would be a little paler and less shiny. The photo is definitely a little lighter than reality. I was hoping for something that looked more like khaki canvas. Nonetheless, I’m very pleased with the strap: it’s a huge upgrade from the original one and I may well buy another. I just have to work on the rest of the bag which, incidentally, is excellent value for money and highly recommended. If you found this review helpful, please ‘like’!

We have owned this for a few months but have only used it around 5 times when travelling to the grandparents and the clip snapped clean off. We used it to carry our babyzen yoyo which is one of the lightest prams around.Update: The seller sent a refund even after the owning the product for a while, which was nice and at least shows good customer service.

I thought that this shoulder strap was quite well made. However, I was really disappointed with the colour. I liked the look of the colour on the amazon website. Unfortunately, when the strap was received the colour was much darker than the pictures shown. I could have sent it back but, what's the point?I still wanted a strap and as it wasn't very expensive, I decided to keep it. It seems to work well enough. I have it attached to my two kilometre beam torch. Let's face it, no one can see the colour of the strap at night. So, I'll keep it.

This strap is fine in general - it seems strong, good hooks, easy to adjust for length - but what I wasn’t prepared for was how shiny it was going to be. I don’t know what material they have used for this but it’s not very subtle and does make my leather bag look a bit glam. If they could tone it down a bit this would be a 5* strap, it looks much made than the broken strap in replacing but I hope I’ll get used to it.

Initially I thought this was a nice replacement strap, it was comfortable and fit for purpose.When I used it the first time the hooks slipped off the rings on my bag twice, but otherwise seemed OK.When I used it for the second time one of the hooks broke, rendering the strap useless.Looking at them it seems they are very poor quality cast iron (maybe) and not fit for purpose.Don't buy this strap if it is for any kind of decent sized luggage. (I used it on a cabin bag sized bag, with maybe a weight of 10-12 kg.)
