This is a very good item, but I think that it should have more connections, but overall it is a good item.

Worked as described. 4 out of 5 stars because nothing is perfect.

I purchased this kit to make electrical connections between the tender and the engine of an HO scale steam locomotive model. I thought the kit might have been intended for this purpose as the included wires are insulated in the NMRA colors for decoder installation. The wires in the kit are very stiff.I used a 10 pin connector from the kit and it wouldn't stay connected, the male connector always worked it's way partially out or the female connector. The plastic in the JST connectors seems a little softer than other JST connectors I have and the pins don't easily snap into place.I wired it up 3 different times and had the same result. Perhaps if the plastic was a little harder or it came with a non conductive adhesive to hold the pins in the connectors it would work better.I really wanted this to work because the size of the connectors is perfect for my intended application.

I have made 4 interconnects so far . . a 7 circuit, 4 circuit and a couple of 2 circuit. All of them for wiring between boards. I like this kit for the selection of wire colors. The one ding about this system of doing things is that I can expect to run out of a particular color or colors leaving me with a bunch of extra connector bodies. But the ease of wiring probably outweighs that in the endThe plastic latch on the case was broken when I received it. Probably not the seller's fault. The rest all seems to be pretty good quality and works well. I will buy again in the future

I actually haven't used these yet, they seem good however. I need to find the mating connections
