I bought this set to give to my grand daughter to teach her to write real letters. She is 10 and thought I was crazy when I asked her to send me letters in the mail when I am away for summers at our camp out of state. I had asked her to send me some of her art work over the summer so I could hang it at camp to keep up with her progress and I I told her to include it in a letter. Her generation only understand emails and text so she thought I was crazy. After buying her this set in which I included an envelope with our address on an envelope so she would have an example to refer back to we worked on learning how to address letters and envelopes. We worked on how to arrange your thoughts and write well thought out letters. This set really gave us a great learning and bonding experience. The set itself is very nice. It includes so much for a child to use to be creative too. Pens, paper, envelopes and markers but also ink picture stampers, stickers, glittery dots and more. It is all contained into a cute and sturdy carrying case which makes it great even for travel. I so look forward to getting my letters and art work while I am at camp this summer

I appreciated the rainbow/unicorn theme and the sturdy "lunchbox" style container it all came in but the contents seem a bit random. For the description I thought it would be more stationary but it's a mix of things that seem like whatever they had extra of at the warehouse. A few pens, some blank greeting cards, some tape. stickers., etc. Word to the wise...be sure to pull out the little divider box inside as there is a lot more stuff underneath it! I got it for my girls to use but glad it was not given as a gift as it does come across as kind of thrown together as far as the contents. Also as far as the size, all the items included are quite small so I'd say this is better for older kids; 7 and up.
