1/" Irrigation shut off valve - JOYPRO
The order arrived with one valve, thinking I only needed one, but after installing the first one, I found two other locations that could benefit from using a valve. I installed in existing locations, trying to reduce pressure in an irrigation zone in one particular drip location bed. What I found was the existing 1/2" supply lines once attached, became detached when I turned the system on. So I needed to firmly attach the hose to the valve pipes using hose clamps. Because they were not included or suggested, I reduced my rating on features and installation by one star. The valves themselves work great for the purpose I intended.

Serendipity!
Dyslexic Me is installing drip irrigation in three zones in a 48'x52' garden area. I looked and looked and looked for a kit that had what I needed for something I wanted to do, and this was the kit I found. I ordered it, only to see that I needed another cross and some more elbows and tees. But, lo! the next day I was offered the exact same kit to review through Amazon Vine, and I just jumped on it! LOL! Good kit, lots of flexibility, and you can cover a lot of round with just the one kit. But I have trouble doing things in an efficient way, so I'm sure I could have designed my system differently so I didn't need the second kit.The only thing I don't understand is what all those straight fittings are used for. I guess to repair sections of hose you cut wrong...which, actually, come to think of it, I'm very likely to do!Oh, do yourself a favor: Take an insulated glass of hot water out to the garden with you when you are installing your drip irrigation system. Dip your 1/2" main line in the water long enough to soften the line before you try to put it onto these fittings. They are very tight so they won't leak, but getting them into the line is a bear. That's typical of barbed fittings, though, so I don't fault the product for that.

Good product, except....
Received quickly and in good shape. Seem to be sturdy and they fit very tight, in fact, almost too tight for a 1/2" inner diameter plastic irrigation hose (that's why the four stars). Very hard to get on and one reviewer suggested using hot water to heat up the hose first. This worked okay, but still took a lot of effort. For another hose, rather than hot water, I applied some bath gel on the end of the coupler and it went in with moderate effort. Don't use vaseline since it is a petroleum product and will deteriorate the plastic. Looks like they will last a long time, so the price is right for a cheap fix if you know what you're doing. I tried it on 5/8" irrigation hose, much easier to get on, but had to secure each end tightly with a hose clamp. Didn't leak at all, so it might be good for that size as well if you use a clamp. I would buy this product again.

Good fit
These connectors are easy to install in tubing for repairs or lengthening a water line. They seem durable and could be moved around if needed.
