This is a solid piece of furniture, with good storage capacity and stable to sit on. The wooden legs are nicely made, sturdy and simple to attach. Excellent value for money at the current price of £50, given that other models seem to be much higher priced. I notice that people have grumbled about the lining, and yes it is flimsy, but I have an ottoman sofa and it is lined with exactly the same stuff, so it seems pretty standard. Like the sofa, it's going to be filled with stuff anyway, so I won't be looking at the lining. My only gripe is that the colour I ordered - dark grey - is nowhere close to charcoal shade in the image shown. What has arrived is a mid-grey or ash colour, which I can see is the same in images posted by other reviewers. Although screens may show different colours, this is unambiguously different to the item advertised.

Just received this item. Quite a sturdy storage footstool, holds quite a lot and very easy to assemble. Nice colour and very pleased with this item.

Ordered this for livingroom storage for dog toys as I wanted something that looked nice and would hide the many toys when we had visitors. This footstool is stunning and looks great. It doesn’t hold as much as I thought it would but does hold a few toys. The looks makes up for the small storage space and to be honest we will ready have the lid closed shut.
