Great product, saves tons of effort
Excellent product. Saved me tons of time and effort removing rocks from a large garden bed. I laid the sieve across a wheelbarrow, shoveled a few loads of dirt onto the sieve, turned on the sifter, and let the motor do the work -- then lifted the sieve and emptied the rocks into a bucket to ready for the next load. You do have to brace the frame to keep it from moving too far. I used a trowel or gloved hand to even off the contents while they passed through. As other reviewers have said, there's no on/off switch, but you can buy one inexpensively -- I used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QKPBZX1 as a kill switch and added https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001Q9EFUK to make shutoff easier. The wire that comes with the unit should be fine for sifting compost but was too thin for rocky soil; I replaced it with heavy-duty mesh. The unit is well-constructed and was easy to disassemble.

Great addition to my barn!
There was no hardware to mount the motor to the frame, but luckily my husband has 47 of everything. :) There was a bit of a learning curve - how tightly to bungee the frame to the cart (just snug enough to keep it from sliding but loose enough to efficiently vibrate), how much can it handle as a load of relatively clean shavings in a horse stall (about 3 manure forks full at a time, depending on if there is hay involved), and how much can it manage before undoing the bungees and dumping the remainder (about 6 manure forks full if they're pretty clean already). It took about an hour to completely sift an already clean stall that did have some hay scraps involved, but by the 3rd stall, it was much better. I use pelleted bedding, and if they haven't completely dissolved, they don't fit through the screen, so I would only use this prior to adding more bedding. I wish it had an on/off switch instead of having to unplug it every time I had to empty it. I think I can manage sifting my stalls once a week (I clean them twice a day) to have a perfect base before adding more shavings. I have one boarder, and she LOVED how her mare's stall looked afterward! I'm very glad I found this on a FB group for horse owners.

Not for wet soil
Used it to sift a garden bed about 25 x 4 ft, 8-10" deep. Works great on drier soil. Wet soil turns to mud. Need to move the soil around as unit vibrates to aid the sifting. I used with a power strip so I did not have to constantly unplug motor. Screen sagged a little bit during use. I recommended to a friend.

Solid sifter.
This does a good job of separating dirt and rock. Easy assembly too. Seems solid and should hold up.

Broken Screen
The screen broke after a few uses. Value is terrible.

Best product out there except that it wouldn't stay on the wheelbarrow while the motor is running
Other than the fact that it would not stay on the wheelbarrow when the motor is running, this is exactly what I needed to sift out rocks from the soil I dug, and reuse the soil in my backyard. I had to get some help to hold it while I load it with soil and sift. If they could fit some kind of side arms or hooks that could keep it to not fall off, this is the best economical and high quality product you could get. I am glad I found this on Amazon.

Saves time
Loved that it is easier to sifter with this product. Gave a 4 because it does not have an on/off switch.
