KangolTropic 507 Hat - Deep Springs/XXL Ivy Caps & Flat Caps

Was looking for a quality Ivy hat that was nice enough to go to events in and cool enough to wear in the summer. When I ordered this Tropic 507 I was afraid it might be too bulky looking, but thankfully it’s not. It is lightweight and while the fabric looks heavy, it is vented to let air flow. It’s made in Taiwan of 75% Polyester & 25% Modacrylic with a Nylon headband. I don’t expect this material to show sweat.The fit is mostly true to size. The headband angles in (as seen in the picture) and stretches to hold unto your head. My head is 58cm and I got a large which is 58cm-59cm. The hat stays in place due to the headband and feels fine, but my wife thought it looked too large. You might consider getting a size down if you are between sizes.This is my second Kangol hat and I highly recommend them!

Perfect fit. Just make sure you know your hat size and there shouldn't be any problems.

I had an XL and loved it. This XL is too big for some reason. I gave it to my son and ordered a large size. Hopefully that one isn't too small.

I live in south Louisiana and much of the time it is too hot and humid to wear conventional hats. This one is very lightweight and if you look at it very closely you can see thousands of tiny pores in the material. It does not affect the appearance or feel of the material. This is much, much finer than the mesh at the back of truckers' caps. I probably won't be able to wear it outside between late June and October but it should be good for the rest of the year. The styling is nice and the hat looks good on and feels good both frontwards and backwards.

Arrived on time, and fit perfectly. I had used the kangol size band to ensure it was the perfect fit. Extremely happy with this purchase at this moment. Quality looks good so time will tell how it wears.

Having a collection of almost every colour, the Kangol tropic 507’s are my favourite hats for almost any situation (bar extreme winds).The hat fits comfortably without leaving any marks on the forehead and the material breathes nicely, keeping my head cool even under direct sunlight.

This item is a hat which covers the top part of the head that wears it. DO NOT BUY THIS HAT if you think it will cover all of the head that wears it! Your face WILL remain uncovered unless you wear it on your face, in which case it will not cover the top part of your head which is how it is designed to be worn. I found it helpful to use a generic search engine to google pictures of people wearing flatcaps to see the correct way to wear it.Plus points:It's a nice fit when worn correctly (see above). You look really cool like Samuel L. Jackson from the films. It goes well with an iced tea in the summertime.Negative points:It's not lined and so lets more sunshine onto my bald head than I would like. It doesn't cover the entire head.
