We bought this for a floor lamp so we could put it behind our couch and chairs and easily turn on and off the light. It looks and works just as described.

Is it 1000 lumens or 1200 lumens? Ad says 1200 lumens, item received said 1000 lumens. 20 % difference. Overall seems to be ok,.

I was in the market for a bright remote controlled light bulb. I thought using a remote would be an easy way to quickly change the brightness instead of having to open my phone and use an app since I like to dim the lights later in the evening and while watching TV. Sadly this bulb isn't nearly as bright as advertised. It's listed as a 100 watt equivalent but I did not find it that bright at all. I tried it for a day and it just wasn't meeting my needs so I sadly had to return it and try another bulb from Amazon that uses an app instead of a remote but is super bright and can be dimmed.

100W equivalent brightness, dimmable, and easy temperature adjustment. Effective remote.

This is actually way more handy and useful than I expected. I have a lamp I like to use at night, but it’s an old analog lamp and I don’t want to fiddle with smart devices when I’m 99% asleep. In the past I used to just fall asleep with the light on, or I would wake myself back up to turn the light off, and then lie in the dark unable to fall back asleep. Now, with this bulb in that lamp, I can use the last 1% of waking attention to pick up the remote and turn the light off and fall asleep 100% five seconds later. It’s saved (probably) a lot of electricity and (definitely) sleeping frustration for me. I’ve never had to use the timer function, although I’ve tested it once and it works. I prefer to turn it off manually because I get anxiety from wondering when the light is going to suddenly turn off when I’m lying in bed or up trying to get something done at the last minute.I mainly just use the on/off remote functionality since I prefer certain brightnesses and color temperatures, I tend to set it and leave it. Occasionally though, I will dim it and brighten it as necessary and it’s handy to not have to access the bulb physically to do this.
