Great!
The Chemical Guys Speed Wipe Quick Detailer has quickly become my go-to product for maintaining my car’s shine between washes. This gallon-size jug is a lifesaver for anyone who loves their vehicle looking showroom-ready without spending hours on detailing. The application is effortless—just spray and wipe. It leaves behind an impressive, streak-free shine that enhances the color and depth of my car’s paint. It’s not just about aesthetics, though. This detailer also acts as a dust repellent, keeping my car cleaner for longer, which is a huge bonus if you live in a dusty area like I do. What really stands out is how versatile this product is. I’ve used it on everything from my car and truck to my friend's motorcycle, and it delivers the same incredible results every time. It’s safe on all surfaces, including glass and chrome, so I don’t have to worry about damaging delicate finishes. Another big plus is the smell—it's pleasant without being overpowering, making the whole process enjoyable. The 1-gallon size is fantastic value for the price, especially since a little product goes a long way. I’ve been using it for weeks now, and I’ve barely made a dent in the jug. If you’re serious about keeping your vehicle looking its best with minimal effort, this is a must-have. The quality, ease of use, and outstanding results make it worth every penny. Highly recommended for car enthusiasts and everyday drivers alike!

You don't have to have a Vintage car to use this speed shine!!
Once again, Chemical Guys hits another bullseye with a great 'quick wipe' type product. This Speed Wipe is really fantastic, it's a great all around detailer spray, and if you had to take one spray bottle on the road with you, to do everything, this would probably be it. I wiped down my warm car with it yesterday (After pulling it in the garage) and it seems to be a bit more forgiving on the heat aspect as well, meaning some detailer sprays you only want to use on cold paint, as they can dry fairly quickly and then streak and be harder to take off with a buff maneuver. This product seems 'wetter' and not 'hotter' with more alcohol, so it seems gentler and slower to dry. Now, Chemical Guys has A LOT of products in this class, and I know it can get confusing, but perhaps when thinking of Chemical Guys' products you rate them based on the amount of emulsifying and 'cleaning' agents they have in them, and of course, the amount of alcohol in them to work as a cleaner. This is fairly weak on alcohol, so it's a nice speed wipe and you feel it's really conditioning your paint. It goes fine on glass, but doesn't disperse as easily as their ultra synthetic quick detail spray (purple). But, like the Extreme Slick Synthetic Detail, if you get it on the glass it wipes off nicely and, like I said, if you have to take one bottle on the road with you, this is probably it. You can use it to touch up the whole car and even your wheels (Assuming they're not too dirty). What I do is dust my car down real quick with my California Duster (Original, wooden handle, not the cheapo plastic handled version). I spray this on pretty liberally and I use the lower pile end of the microfiber drying type cloth. Wipe it down, wait a few seconds and buff it. You'll feel the 'slickness' it leaves behind. It's great on rubber trim too, leaving it nice and shiny. You can even wipe down your glass, but if you're going to use micofiber for that, make sure it's a well seasoned (Softer) microfiber towel and you use the low pile end of the towel (or use a waffle weave), the high pile end of some microfibers can leave peach fuzz fragments on your glass, and quite honestly, I pretty much use cotton for my glass as microfiber builds up static and will hold that peach fuzz fibers on their pretty good. But this Vintage Series Speed shine is a real nice product. Again, Chemical Guys makes quite a few products in this category, and it can be confusing, but consider this the medium grade, whereas at the upper end is their "Clear Seal Gloss" and at the lower end of the spectrum use case (Such as a washerless type wipe down, 1st pass --> the Extreme Slick Synthetic Detailer works very nicely for that application as it has more alcohol in it). Up from there would be something like V07, then this vintage speed shine, then the clear seal gloss). From there you work into thicker, yogurt type consistencies, like Jet Seal and then into thicker pastes, like Carnauba. (Note - - > Chemical Guys' liquid Carnauba is considered somewhat congruent to a "speed shine", however buffing carnauba's can produce dust, whereas none of the speed shines listed here create any kind of dust. Carnauba's usually are always considered waxes, but Chemical Guys' liquid carnauba is very 'fluid' and can even be worked out of a spray bottle). The trick with this vintage speed shine is to do it daily, I know it seems like a lot of work, but if you just dust the car real quick, then wipe it down real quick, you can achieve phenomenal results in just 10 or 15 minutes. But, you have to have a love to do this, and for some people, I get it, it's just not there (Sometimes I consider those types lucky, cause being Type A about your car is almost a curse) :-)

This is a great product. Easy to use and it leaves a great shine and repels water very well. Smells good too. I even use it on windows where it leave no streaks. I've used several bottles and plan to buy more.

Makes car cleaning fun!
This product should be called a "quick cleaner" because that is what it does. It is a convenient way to wipe light dusting from your paint without having to wash the car. The key word phrase here is "light dusting." This will not work for moderately or heavily dusted paint surfaces. For moderately dusty vehicles, please use a product labeled "waterless car wash" because it will have more lubrication in the formula. Heavily dusted vehicles will need a full car wash. Of all the methods used to clean the exterior of a car, the "spray detailer" method is the weakest and should be reserved for cars that are basically clean and just needs a little bit of dusting. This product is a spray detailer. The product works great. Tree pollen wipes away easily and there is enough lubricant in the formula to avoid scratching the clear coat. It leaves a glossy finish on smooth surfaces. But, it will not fill scratches like a paste wax would do. This is mainly for touch up work. You will get a lot of pollen if you live in an area that has a lot of pine trees. This product is ideal for the quick removal of fine particles like that. Just do not allow too much pollen to build up before removing. If the accumulation is heavy, like your car looks yellowish, you will need to hose your car with water. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Several reasons. There are at least two competing spray detailers that are both excellent. I am referring to Turtle Wax Ice Spray Detailer and Meguiar's Ultimate Spray Detailer. Both of these products have superior water beading and they give just as much shine as the Chemical Guys Speed Wipe. The Turtle Wax is better priced. You get more for your money. I am not one to hang an entire product evaluation on the water beading test. After all, it is only a measure of how much the product repels water. The biggest threat to your paint is not water but UV rays from the sun. And there is simply no way for the average consumer to test the ability of these products to block UV rays. So we all imitate the water beading tests that we see on Youtube. It does at least tell you how durable the product is. The Turtle Wax and the Meguiar's seem to have more durability. In other words, they stay on the paint longer even after sun exposure. They will continue to bead water even after you leave your car outside in the sun. All three are easy to apply. If there is one thing the Chemcal Guys products do that they deserve credit for, it is making car washing fun. The detail geeks take a boring but necessary chore and they make products that make it fun. They use pleasant scents that make car washing fun. And the cherry smell on this formula does just that. You cannot beat Chemical Guys for making car washing fun. And maybe the fact that they run a Youtube channel that gives free advice makes up for the higher prices of their products. You will have to judge this for yourself.
