Very good camera, but absurd pricing on Amazon.
R5 Camera is good. There're some issues, like you can only record few minutes' clips of 8K/ 4K quality before it overheats, but it doesn't matter for majority of users, as majority only take photos. R5's main focus is anyways to take striking, detailed photos. In this matter, its autofocus has eye detection that's very quick. There's dual shutter, mechanical and electronic with different shooting speeds. Maximum Retail Price according to Canon (India) website is Rs. 3,65,995, but the real price should be much lower now as R5 Mark 2 is launched now. Also, its updated model Canon R5 Mark II is in market now with a huge barrage of changes (enhanced autofocus software, 8K60 unlimited with fan accessory, etc), and it is only Rs. 40k more expensive (at MRP), than this R5 is. So, please check the updated model too before you buy, so that you don't regret later. One problem is the new RF lens system. RF lenses are sometimes expensive, and the range is quite small too for now. Tamron and Sigma hardly sell any RF lens so range is an issue. Old Canon EOS lenses can be fitted using adaptor, so you're good there.
